Abstract: Techniques and mechanisms for determining a relative order in which respective microoperations of execution threads are performed. In an embodiment, a processor comprises a control register and circuitry which enables an executing program to set a control parameter which is provided by the control register. The control parameter determines whether the processor is to provide a control which applies one or more synchronization requirements to threads of execution which are of the same thread group. In another embodiment, the control is configurable to selectively provide implicit synchronization between some or all such threads.

Abstract: A polymer composition comprising a cellulose ester polymer in combination with a property enhancing agent. The property enhancing agent is combined with the cellulose ester polymer in an amount sufficient to improve at least one physical property. For instance, in one aspect, the melt processing characteristics of the polymer composition can be improved. Alternatively or in addition, molded articles made from the polymer composition can have improved surface characteristics. The property enhancing agent can be an acidic species, such as a diprotic, organic acid.

Abstract: A bracket for holding a universal transducer for use with a fishing or other boat, including a transducer assembly, having a transducer shaft, which brackets a transducer at its bottom end, while its upper end is connected either to the side of the boat, or onto the upper portions, such as the gear box, of the associated trolling motor, to provide the means for scoping the underwater typography through usage of a universal transducer, as available in the art. The upper end of the transducer shaft connects to a bracket, applied onto the bracket is a geared motor, such as a reversing motor, that can pivot the transducer in an approximate 360-degree direction.

Abstract: A new fiber optic connector provides a smaller form factor by including two ferrule assemblies in a housing. The housing accepts a push-pull mechanism that allows for insertion and removal from a carrier as well as an adapter. The push-pull mechanism may also include a flexure member to return the push-pull mechanism. Polarity of the fiber optic connector may also be selected by use of the push-pull mechanism.

Abstract: Disclosed embodiments relate to accelerating multiplication of sparse matrices. In one example, a processor is to fetch and decode an instruction having fields to specify locations of first, second, and third matrices, and an opcode indicating the processor is to multiply and accumulate matching non-zero (NZ) elements of the first and second matrices with corresponding elements of the third matrix, and executing the decoded instruction as per the opcode to generate NZ bitmasks for the first and second matrices, broadcast up to two NZ elements at a time from each row of the first matrix and each column of the second matrix to a processing engine (PE) grid, each PE to multiply and accumulate matching NZ elements of the first and second matrices with corresponding elements of the third matrix. Each PE further to store an NZ element for use in a subsequent multiplications.

Abstract: A snowmobile throttle control system comprises a throttle block with a throttle thumb lever pivotally connected thereto, the throttle block clamped to a snowmobile handlebar next to a right hand grip. The hand grip and/or thumb lever having electric heaters. The configuration of the throttle block and thumb lever reducing issues associated with snow and or ice buildup between the two during operation of the throttle control system by vertically and horizontally spacing respective confronting portions of each, effecting shear forces on any such ice or snow between the two, and by minimizing heat transfer between the handlebar and throttle block by reducing the contact between clamping surfaces of the throttle block engaging the handlebar thereby minimizing melting and freezing of the snow and ice at the throttle control system. The thumb lever and throttle block providing integrated securement structure for wires associated with the electric heaters.

Abstract: An exhaust gas recirculation pump system for an internal combustion engine includes an EGR gas source and an electric motor assembly. A roots device is coupled to the electric motor. The roots device includes a housing defining an internal volume wherein the housing includes a radial inlet port receiving the EGR gas source and an outlet port expelling the EGR gas from the housing. Rotors are disposed in the internal volume and connected to the electric motor. A transmission housing is attached to the housing. The transmission housing includes journals formed therein receiving bearings that support the rotors on only a single end of the rotors.

Abstract: A method for network resiliency testing comprising: executing a resiliency testbed application at a plurality of virtual machines; accessing, by the plurality of virtual machines, network configuration data stored in a configuration database, the configuration data corresponding to a topology of a network to be emulated; configuring at least a portion of the virtual machines, according to the network configuration data, to emulate a plurality of nodes of the network to be emulated; automatically determining least cost paths between the plurality of nodes; simulating communications between the plurality of nodes based on the determined least cost paths; and determining one or more metrics of the network to be emulated based on the simulation.

Abstract: A machine direction (MD) position profile measurement of a moving sheet records the MD position of each of the cross direction (CD) measurements. A sheet monitoring system includes means for measuring the MD speed of the sheet of material; means for associating measured MD speed with time to generate time-associated MD speeds; means for recording the time-associated MD speeds; a first scanning sensor for measuring a first characteristic of the sheet material wherein the first scanning sensor is located at a first position along the MD and the first scanner sensor traverses back and forth along a CD; and means for associating first characteristic measurements with time to generate time-associated first characteristic measurements. Single and multiple scanning sensors can be employed. For multiple scanner systems where the scanners are synchronized, the technique enables recreation of the real zig-zag measurement path and same spot measurements.
