  • Patent number: 11390493
Abstract: A hook assembly including a spring-biased safety latch that provides for installation of the latch onto the hook without spring tension. A fastener is configured to slide along an elongate slot when the latch is moved in translatory motion relative to the fastener. The fastener is configured to be inserted into the assembly in a first position while the tension on a biasing member is released. The first position is configured to allow the latch to rotate inward past the tip of the hook. The fastener is configured to move into a second position where it engages with a nut 53 that when installed is positioned in the portion and blocked by at least one shoulder such that the fastener is no longer able to slide in the slot preventing translator motion of the latch relative to the fastener.

  • Publication number: 20220058287
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for receiving a request for a user to perform a plurality of activities with respect to a secure document, a given activity of the plurality activities being assigned based on a known parameter of the user. The system transmits the request to the user, and responsive to detecting an interaction with the request, determines that the known parameter has changed. The system responsively determines requirements for performing the plurality of activities based on a replacement parameter of the user, determines a replacement activity based on the requirements, and transmits a new request to the user, the new request replacing the given activity with the replacement activity.

  • Publication number: 20220058286
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for receiving a request for a user to perform a plurality of activities with respect to a secure document. The system determines requirements for performing each respective activity of the plurality of activities. The system retrieves profile data for the user, and determines based on the profile data a subset of the activities directed to achieving a result that is reflected in the profile data. The system transmits a modified version of the request to the user, the modified version eliminating the subset from the plurality of activities.

  • Publication number: 20220058278
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for receiving a request for a user to perform a task with respect to a secure document. The system extracts first information from the secure document, and extracts second information from a profile of the user. The system inputs the first information and the second information into a machine learning model, and receives as output from the machine learning model plurality of activities for performing the task. The system transmits a workflow including the plurality of activities to the user.

  • Publication number: 20220048677
Abstract: A portable kit for utilizing a flavouring agent with a beverage contained in a beverage can may include a drinking accessory having a substantially annular body portion surrounding a central opening, an attachment portion configured to engage an upper rim of the beverage can and a flared drinking portion including a drinking sidewall extending axially away from the gripping portion in a first direction and terminating in a drinking rim configured to receive a flavouring agent. The kit can also include a portable, multi-chamber carrying case having a first container and a second container each configured to axially receive the drinking rim of the drinking accessory and a lid that is configured to releasably cover and seal the second upper end. The kit may be configurable in a transport configuration in which the containers are sealed and a use configuration in which the containers are accessible.

  • Publication number: 20210235745
Abstract: Apparatus for analysing a rod-shaped smoking article is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a source (10) of x-ray radiation arranged to irradiate an area of the article (30), one or more area image sensors (12) arranged to detect x-ray radiation from an area of the article and to produce two-dimensional image data therefrom, and a drive mechanism arranged to move the smoking article (30) or the sensor (12) in an axial direction. A processing unit (20) is arranged to process two-dimensional image data produced by the area image sensor (12) at a plurality of different axial positions and to produce an output in dependence thereon. The processing unit may be arranged to output a two-dimensional image to be displayed and/or to output processed dimensional or quality information.

  • Publication number: 20200273326
Abstract: A traffic management system uses a network of traffic detecting apparatus distributed through the traffic network, such as at each traffic light and detects Bluetooth transmissions from devices in passing vehicles, and sends capture messages back to a traffic network monitoring centre. The traffic network monitoring centre estimates travel times, excess delays and congestion. To increase capture data rates the traffic detecting apparatus are configured to detect the lower address part (LAP) of Bluetooth Device Address in received transmissions. The apparatus may also detect Wi-Fi device MAC addresses to further increase the capture rate.

  • Publication number: 20190220704
Abstract: The technology disclosed directly operates on sequencing data and derives its own feature filters. It processes a plurality of aligned reads that span a target base position. It combines elegant encoding of the reads with a lightweight analysis to produce good recall and precision using lightweight hardware. For instance, one million training examples of target base variant sites with 50 to 100 reads each can be trained on a single GPU card in less than 10 hours with good recall and precision. A single GPU card is desirable because it a computer with a single GPU is inexpensive, almost universally within reach for users looking at genetic data. It is readily available on could-based platforms.
