  • Patent number: 11574635
Abstract: Conversational understanding systems allow users to conversationally interface with a computing device. In examples, a query may be received that includes a request for execution of a task. A data exchange task definition may be accessed. The data exchange task definition assists a conversational understanding system in managing task state tracking for information needed for task execution. Using the data exchange task definition, a per-turn policy for interacting with the user computing device is generated based on the state of a dialogue with a computing device and an evaluation of a process flow chart provided by a task owner resource. The task owner resource may be independent from the conversational understanding system. A response to the query may be generated and output based on the per-turn policy. In examples, the per-turn policy is used to generate one or more responses during a dialogue with a user via a computing device.

  • Patent number: 11571325
Abstract: A faceplate assembly for an ostomy pouch system including an invertible stoma collar is provided. The invertible stoma collar protrudes toward a stoma and defines an inlet opening. The invertible stoma collar is formed from a flexible material having an elastic memory, such that the stoma collar hugs the stoma as the stoma is received through the inlet opening, and becomes inverted. The inverted stoma collar has a tendency to regain its original shape, and thus, applies sufficient pressure to seal around the stoma without strangulating the stoma.

  • Patent number: 11573735
Abstract: Technologies for media management for column-based memory systems include a memory controller including an indirection table. The memory controller receives a memory access to a column-addressable memory indicative of a memory row address. The memory controller determines a logical sub-block identifier based on the memory row address and looks up a physical sub-block identifier in the indirection table. The memory controller issues a redirected memory access indicative of the physical sub-block identifier to the column-addressable memory. The memory access may include a column read. The memory controller may perform a media management operation by copying or moving data from a source physical sub-block to a destination physical sub-block. The memory controller updates the indirection table with the destination physical sub-block for the associated logical sub-block identifier. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20230037227
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are disclosed for performing matrix operations, including operations suited to neural network and other machine learning accelerators and applications, using dual exponent formats. Disclosed matrix formats include single exponent bounding box floating-point (SE-BBFP) and dual exponent bounding box floating-point (DE-BBFP) formats. Shared exponents for each element are determined for each element based on whether the element is used as a row of matrix tile or a column of a matrix file, for example, for a dot product operation. Computing systems suitable for employing such neural networks include computers having general-purpose processors, neural network accelerators, or reconfigure both logic devices, such as Field programmable gate arrays (FPGA). • Publication number: 20230035486
Abstract: Computing systems, for example, multi-tenant systems deploy software artifacts in data centers created in a cloud platform using a cloud platform infrastructure language that is cloud platform independent. The system generates pipelines for deploying software artifacts in data center entities configured in a cloud platform. The system allows partial execution of pipelines such that the pipeline can be executed again to complete execution of the remaining stages. The system maintains state of the pipeline execution and checks the state to determine whether a stage should be executed during subsequent executions. The system allows a failed stage to be retried multiple times based on a retry strategy. A retry strategy may depend on the data center entity in a hierarchy of data venter entities of a data center.

  • Patent number: 11566610
Abstract: A machine and process to compress ambient air using natural swell of ocean waves to store energy. The devise is a bi-directional air pump operated by ocean wave power of water buoyancy as well as earth gravity in a pressure vessel using a piston. The machine uses a large surface area as float connected by a rod to a small area as piston, housed in a pressure vessel to multiply compression of air. The compression of air is directly proportional to the respective surface areas of float to the piston attached with a rod inside the pressure vessel. An array of similar machines can be employed to multiply potential energy output.

  • Patent number: 11570183
Abstract: A distribution network communicates content to tenant groups in a secure manner. An engine of the distribution network receives content created utilizing an application having different customers and partners. The engine also receives: a first identifier indicating a customer of the application with which a tenant is associated, and a second identifier indicating a partner of the application with which the tenant is associated. The engine references a stored database table to correlate the first identifier and the second identifier. Based upon the first identifier and the second identifier, the engine evaluates whether the tenant is to be provided access to the content. The engine may provide the tenant with the content according to an access right determined from the first identifier and the second identifier. Certain embodiments may find particular use disseminating content to new tenants of a customer, based upon prior distribution to other tenants of that customer.

  • Patent number: 11568456
Abstract: This disclosure describes a solution to assign values to personal objects. These values can be calculated based on a number of criteria and stored for the objects. Future values can also be projected. Types of value can include monetary, sentimental, and donation value. Personal objects, such as objects within the inventory of a house, apartment, or other dwelling, can be tagged using a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag or other tag that has at least a memory store, an antenna for communication within a near-field range, and optionally, a power supply, such as a battery. Such a tag can be applied to, or otherwise associated with, a personal object, such as a chair, a piece of artwork, or any other tangible object. The memory can be used to contain data associated with the object, which can be accessed via an RFID reader, which can be used to collect objects into an object inventory.

  • Patent number: 11568987
Abstract: This disclosure describes a solution to enable more useful and responsive methods for a person's wishes for resuscitation actions to be canceled or discontinued in the event of a medical event. In this solution, a person can record their do not resuscitate (DNR) wishes with more specificity. For instance, they can specify conditions for treatment or non-treatment in the event of a medical emergency that would otherwise call for live-saving procedures or the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) device. Conditional DNR data can be recorded in an electronic device (e.g., emergency pendant or smart watch, or in an electronic device) implanted within or on the person's body. This data can also be stored in a database accessible via a network.
