  • Publication number: 20140179295
Abstract: Context state decisions of other users, based on the state of their mobile devices in the vicinity, are used to determine if it reasonable to have your device make or suggest a similar state change. By broadcasting state changes or identifiable actions to all other devices in the vicinity using short-range communications, devices can anonymously notify others in their vicinity of actions they or their users have taken. By collecting and analyzing these notifications, devices can then build their own understanding of the current context and autonomously decide on appropriate actions to take for themselves.

  • Patent number: 8762282
Abstract: An apparatus and method for transferring encrypted useful data objects (NDO) to a first telecommunication terminal (TG1), wherein at least one encrypted useful data object is initially transferred from a switching component to the first telecommunication terminal. Time information (SABS) is transferred from the switching component to the first telecommunication terminal indicating up to which moment in time a rights object (RO) associated with the at least one encrypted useful data object will arrive. Once the rights object received by the first telecommunication terminal, the telecommunication terminal checks if the moment in time indicated in the time information has elapsed. • Publication number: 20140166425
Abstract: A hydraulic actuating pin system is disclosed with an actuating pin, clutch drum, spring and hydraulics. The clutch drum has a scalloped annulus with raised and lowered sections. The spring pushes the pin towards the scalloped annulus. When the pin extends into the lowered section, it prevents the clutch drum from rotating. The hydraulics can compress the spring and extract the pin to allow the clutch drum to rotate. The proximal end of the pin can include a head, and hydraulic pressure can move the head to compress the spring. When the pin is fully extended into the lowered section, the end of the pin can not touch the bottom of the lowered section. The hydraulics can include a one-way valve allowing flow from a pump source to the pin, and a pressure release orifice allowing controlled release of hydraulic pressure from the pin.
