  • Patent number: 7196683
Abstract: In an image display device which employs pulse width modulation driving, a voltage which is less than a voltage supplied to signal lines is applied to pixel electrodes. Tones are displayed by shifting phases of waveforms of the signal lines and scanning lines, and polarities of pixels in a signal line direction are inverted alternately. This prevents increase in power consumption which is caused by pulse intervals which become too small at high tone levels, in addition to preventing change in tone level due to external factors such as temperature, or signal delays in a driver or wiring.

  • Patent number: 7196968
Abstract: A method of driving source lines is arranged as follows: One output signal line S61 of a source driver is connected to a plurality of lines corresponding to respective source lines SR7 through SB12, and these source lines from SR7 (starting data line) to SB12 (terminating data line) are grouped as one block (group). In each block, a signal voltage of a divided output is supplied to the source lines during a first horizontal period T, while a signal voltage whose polarity is opposite to that of the aforesaid output is supplied to the source lines in a second horizontal period that is after the first horizontal period. In each of the horizontal periods, the source lines SR7 through SB12 are subjected to sequential selection. In addition to this, the source line SB12 is selected before turning the source line SR7 off.

  • Publication number: 20070065595
Abstract: A substrate on which a plurality of thin films having a plurality of cross-sections corresponding to the cross-section of a micro-structure are formed is placed on a substrate holder. The substrate holder is elevated to bond a thin film formed on the substrate to the surface of a stage, and by lowering the substrate holder, the thin film is separated from the substrate and transferred to the stage side. The transfer process is repeated to laminate a plurality of thin films on the stage and to form the micro-structure. Accordingly, there are provided a micro-structure having high dimensional precision, especially high resolution in the lamination direction, which can be manufactured from a metal or an insulator such as ceramics and can be manufactured in the combined form of structural elements together, and a manufacturing method and an apparatus thereof.

  • Publication number: 20070064573
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a diffraction pattern of a diffraction element, or a hologram polarization element, to guide a reflected laser beam divided into a predetermined number to a photodetector is combined preferably as one unit, in order to provide an optical head unit and an optical disc apparatus, which provides a stable reproducing signal, irrespectively of the standards of recording media, when reproducing information from a recording medium of optional standard. By using this diffraction pattern, it is possible to obtain outputs usable to detect first, second and third signals used to detect a tracking error when reproducing information recorded on an optical disc from a reflected laser beam from an optical disc, a fourth signal used to detect a focus error, and a fifth signal used to detect a disc tilt error and a spherical aberration compensating component.

  • Publication number: 20070062952
Abstract: An opening structure of a container easily performs the opening and the resealing. The container continuously and integrally forms a cap portion and a pouring portion. Due to a radial deformation of an easy-to-break portion which is present in a boundary between the cap portion and the pouring portion, the easy-to-break portion is broken and hence the cap portion and the pouring portion are separated, thus opening the container. A manufacturing method for the novel container is also provided.
