    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for graphics processing, such as producing a smooth transition between images of different dynamic ranges (e.g., Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) images and High Dynamic Range (HDR) images). An example method generally includes using a high frame rate during a transition period to allow properties of images to incrementally vary. The properties may include brightness (i.e., luminance), color gamut, tone mapping, among others. For example, during the transition period, a subset of HDR images are displayed at a second frame rate (e.g., 120 Hz) higher than a frame rate based on the HDR images (e.g., 30 Hz). Simultaneously, a brightness level (as well as other aspects) of the display panel is adjusted incrementally from an SDR brightness level to an HDR brightness level during the transition time period over the subset of the HDR images.

    Abstract: The invention discloses a lithium battery structure and the electrode layer thereof. The lithium battery structure includes two battery units with the two negative active material layers being disposed in face-to-face arrangement. The negative current collector includes a conductive substrate with a plurality of through holes and an isolation layer. The isolation layer is covered on one surface of the conductive substrate and extended along the through holes to another surface to cover the edge of the openings of the through holes. It can be effectively avoided the lithium dendrites depositing near the openings of the through holes on the conductive substrate. Also, the face-to-face arrangement of the negative active material layers is effectively control the locations of the plated lithium dendrites. Therefore, the safety of the battery and the cycle life of the battery is greatly improved.

The bottom layer can be used to protect the conductive elements embedded in the dielectric layer from a wet etchant used to etch the etch stop layer.

    Abstract: Synthetic brochosomes can be prepared by disposing a monolayer of first polymer microspheres on a substrate and forming a layer of metal on the monolayer of the first polymer microspheres. A monolayer of second polymer microspheres is then disposed on the layer of metal to form a template. The second polymer microspheres are smaller than the first polymer microspheres. A brochosome material is then electrodeposited on the template. The brochosome material is selected from the group consisting of a metal, a metal oxide, a polymer or a hybrid thereof. The first polymer microspheres and the second polymer microspheres are then removed to form a coating of synthetic brochosomes of the brochosome material on the substrate.

    Abstract: A method for offshore dual-drive core drilling with three layers of casings under surge compensation is provided. According to the method, a drilling vessel is located at set latitude and longitude coordinates by a dynamic positioning system; drill pipes are stabilized by a seabed template; torques and drilling pressures can be transmitted during drilling of the casings by means of surge compensation of the casings at a wellhead; during drilling for sampling, the surge compensation can compensate to a certain extent for a change in water depth caused by rising or falling tides, or surge, thereby preventing the casings from colliding with equipment and ensuring the safety of wellhead operation; and the drilling of three layers of casings is achieved by means of dual driver heads to effectively protect a wellbore wall, such that high core-drilling rate and good core-drilling quality are achieved during drilling for sampling.

    Abstract: A voltage regulator having a multiple of main stages and at least one accelerated voltage regulator (AVR) bridge is provided. The main stages may respond to low frequency current transients and provide DC output voltage regulation. The AVR bridges are switched much faster than the main stages and respond to high frequency current transients without regulating the DC output voltage. The AVR bridge frequency response range can overlap with the main stage frequency response range, and the lowest frequency to which the AVR bridges respond may be set lower than the highest frequency to which the main stages respond.
