  • Publication number: 20220230168
Abstract: A financial institution computing system includes a network circuit exchanging information over a network, a customer database storing financial information for a plurality of users, and a privacy shield circuit. The privacy shield circuit receives, over the network via the network circuit, a privacy shield request from an authorized user of a financial account via a user computing device. The privacy shield circuit generates a user alias for the authorized user of the financial account. The privacy shield circuit associates the user alias with the financial account in the customer database for use in conjunction with a subsequent transaction. Use of the user alias in conjunction with the subsequent transaction includes using the user alias for at least one of an authentication procedure and providing requested information to a merchant. The privacy shield circuit transmits the user alias to the user computing device over the network via the network circuit.

  • Publication number: 20220231900
Abstract: Modulation schemes are disclosed that include one or more zero-power modulation states, in which the transmitter briefly emits zero or very low signal for one resource element of a message in 5G or 6G networking. In phase-modulated examples such as QPSK, an additional zero-power state can provide higher information density and shorter message sizes. In pulse-amplitude modulated schemes, the additional states can have zero power in one or both branches, thereby providing multiple additional modulation options. The receiver can readily detect and interpret the zero-power modulation states. Messages transmitted including the zero-power modulation states are generally shorter (in time or in bandwidth) due to the higher information density, and involve substantially lower energy expenditure because the message size is smaller, and because some of the states have zero or very low transmission power. Receivers also can benefit from the smaller size messages.

  • Publication number: 20220230533
Abstract: Provided herein are examples of a remote control device that provides a retrofit solution for an existing switched control system. The remote control device may comprise a control circuit, a rotatable portion, a magnetic ring coupled to the rotatable portion, and first and second Hall-effect sensor circuits configured to generate respective first and second sensor control signals in response to magnetic fields generated by the magnetic elements. The control circuit may operate in a normal mode when the rotatable portion is being rotated, and in a reduced-power mode when the rotatable portion is not being rotated. The control circuit may disable the second Hall-effect sensor circuit in the reduced-power mode. The control circuit may detect movement of the rotatable portion in response to the first sensor control signal in the reduced-power mode and enable the second Hall-effect sensor circuit in response to detecting movement of the rotatable portion.

  • Patent number: 11392653
Abstract: Systems and methods for facilitating optimization of documents based on prior interactions according to one or more example embodiments are shown. Such systems and methods make use of analyzing information obtained from financial institution computing system as well as other third party networks. Such systems and methods also make use of analyzing information stored from previous interactions with documents (e.g., financial disclosures). In some embodiments, this analysis of data allows for documents, such as disclosure documents, to emphasize features or sections that are of particular interest to the individual receiving the document. Information associated with one or more sections of a disclosure document may be pushed to account holders based on a disclosure associated event.

  • Patent number: 11395135
Abstract: A wireless data message in 5G/6G generally includes the destination address (such as MAC address) encoded in a field of the data message. A base station must receive the data message and decode the address before the core network can deliver the message to the recipient's cell. For faster communication, certain address messages are disclosed, by which the destination address may be disclosed before the data message is uploaded. Early disclosure of the destination address may enable the core network to deliver the data message to the recipient with fewer delays. In various configurations, the destination address may be provided concurrently with a scheduling request, or combined with a BSR (size) message, or delivered on a random access channel, among other possibilities. For faster uploads, a pointer or code representing the destination address can be specified, resulting in further delay reductions.

  • Publication number: 20220225367
Abstract: In a 5G or 6G wireless network, a user device that wishes to transmit an uplink message must first transmit a scheduling request to the base station, generally in an allocated time-frequency region sized according to the number of user devices. In general, most of the user devices are not requesting access most of the time, and therefore most of the allocated region is blank. To reduce the amount of wasted resources, the base station can divide the user devices into sections, and allow the user devices to indicate which sections include at least one ready user device. Then, the base station can allocate a much smaller region containing only those indicated sections, and the ready user devices can send their requests in that smaller region. The base station can then determine which user devices request access, provide them with grants, and receive their messages.

  • Publication number: 20220224439
Abstract: Disclosed are procedures for measuring the modulation quality of each message resource element in a failed 5G or 6G communication modulated according to pulse-amplitude modulation, thereby revealing the most likely fault locations in the message. A second copy of the message can be merged by selecting the highest quality message elements from each version, where the quality is related to how far each message element's modulation deviates from the calibrated “states” of the modulation scheme. The receiver may also determine directional information based on the modulation of each message element, and may compare versions to determine the most likely correct state of each message element. Such strategies may directly recover the original message, or may greatly reduce the number of variations that need to be tested.

  • Patent number: 11387961
Abstract: Short-form demodulation references disclosed herein may enable low-cost receivers to demodulate wireless messages while avoiding complex 5G and 6G protocols, thereby enabling a multitude of cost-constrained applications. Despite their small footprint, the short-form demodulation references enable the receiver to determine all of the amplitude and phase levels of the modulation scheme. In addition, noise and interference can be mitigated by embedding short-form demodulation references within longer messages, thereby providing an immediate refresh of the modulation calibrations, enhancing communication reliability, and avoiding costly message faults despite high background interference. Short-form demodulation references disclosed herein can be used as a default standard demodulation reference in 5G and 6G wireless messages.

  • Patent number: 11387935
Abstract: Message failures due to noise and interference cause unnecessary delays and reduction in reliability in wireless networks. To detect, localize, and correct transmission faults in 5G and 6G networks, the receiver can measure the “modulation quality” of each message reference element, according to how closely the amplitude and phase match the amplitude and phase levels of the modulation scheme. If the message is faulted, the receiver can re-assign each message element with poor modulation quality to the adjacent states, or if necessary to each state in the modulation scheme, and may thereby find the correct message value in many cases. Certain zones around each modulation state can indicate how the message element has been distorted by interference, and thereby indicate where to search for the correct state of that message element.

  • Patent number: 11386611
Abstract: An augmented reality system for viewing a static physical object includes a movable unit receiving signals from, a static tracking base station for obtaining the six-dimensional absolute position of the movable unit. The relative position of the movable unit relatively to the static physical object is calculated from the absolute positions of the movable unit and the static physical object. The relative unit-object position is then used for rendering and displaying an augmented image or projecting a virtual object on the static physical object.

  • Patent number: 11387960
Abstract: Efficient message formats and procedures for demarcation of the start and end of downlink messages are disclosed, greatly simplifying the task of user devices in finding and interpreting their downlink messages among a stream of signals on 5G/6G downlink channels. A low-complexity message may begin and/or end with a “gap” (a resource element with no transmission), indicating the message boundaries. The demarcation may also include demodulation references, which may include characteristic patterns according to message type and position. The identification code of the user device may be applied at the start or end of each downlink message to further assist the user device. To select the desired demarcation format, the user device can transmit a request message to the base station, specifying a particular format for demarcations of its downlink messages.
