  • Patent number: 8402530
Abstract: Authentication requests are redistributed among a plurality of authentication servers and to centrally managing authentication affinities among distributed servers using a secure channels affinity service. A computer system instantiates a secure channel management service configured to manage secure channel connections. The secure channel management service receives state inputs from currently deployed authentication servers. The authentication servers may be configured to queue authentication requests for transmission to authentication servers. The computer system determines that, based on the received state input, at least one of the secure channels is to be remapped to a different authentication server. The computer system also remaps the determined secure channels to distribute future authentication requests among the authentication servers.

  • Patent number: 8401030
Abstract: Allocation of channels in a dedicated frequency spectrum on a secondary basis. A direct mode communication request (150) from a first wireless communication device (112) can be received and processed to determine whether there are one or more secondary communication channels over which direct mode communication may be implemented between the first wireless communication devices and other wireless communication devices (114, 116, 118) without violating at least one communication policy for the secondary communication channel. Use of a secondary communication channel can be assigned or denied. In addition, a direct mode communication request can be communicated from a wireless communication device to a base transceiver station (104) identifying one or more other communication devices for which direct mode communication is requested.

  • Patent number: 8401115
Abstract: A circuit detects symbols transmitted from multiple transmitting antennas to multiple receiving antennas. A distance block for an initial transmitting antenna in an ordering of the transmitting antennas determines a distance value for each symbol in a constellation. A selector block selects a limited number of candidates for the initial transmitting antenna from the symbols having smaller distance values. For each first and successive second transmitting antenna in the ordering, a distance-selector block selects a candidate for the second transmitting antenna for each candidate for the first transmitting antenna. The candidate for the second transmitting antenna is a pairing having a smaller distance value among the pairings of the candidate for the first transmitting antenna and the symbols. An identifier block selects a last candidate having a smaller distance value among the candidates for a last transmitting antenna in the ordering. The last candidate includes the detected symbols.

  • Publication number: 20130067062
Abstract: Techniques for correlation of users to IP address lease events are described herein. In one or more embodiments, an audit system is provided to collect IP address lease events from a DHCP server and authentication data from one or more sources of authentication data. The audit system may store the collected data in a common data store. The common data store may be searched to correlate the IP address lease events with authentication data. In this manner, a comprehensive record of the computers or devices used by a user within a given time period can be established through correlation of the historical IP address lease information from the DHCP server with the user login information from an authentication source. This may occur by matching events using timestamps of the events and the IP address and/or other common elements between two event sources.
