  • Patent number: 8851798
Abstract: A hinge connector for connecting adjoining floating dock sections formed from a pair of hinge halves. Each hinge half has a top flat surface, a downwardly directed leg having a lower leg portion. A plurality of hinge knuckle loops is formed on each leaf and hinge pin sleeve sections are fastened therein. When the two hinge leaves are brought together with their respective hinge knuckle loops/hinge pin sleeve sections interleaved and aligned, a hinge pin is inserted axially through the hinge pin sleeve sections, the two hinge halves are each free to rotate around the hinge pin. An orthogonal relationship exists between the top flat surface and the lower leg portion of the downwardly directed leg portion. This allows the floating dock hinge to be connected to both a horizontal surface such as the top deck of a floating and a vertical surface such as the edge of a floating dock module to maximize the strength of the hinged joint between modules.

  • Patent number: 8760825
Abstract: A circuit breaker (such as a miniature circuit breaker) that wirelessly communicates state and fault information to a main energy monitoring module. The wireless circuit breaker includes a transceiver and a power supply that harvests energy inductively from the line current conductor without the need for a connection to a neutral conductor. The wireless circuit breaker can be implemented in the same package as existing circuit breakers, eliminating the need to replace the panel when upgrading to a system that employs a main energy monitoring module. The wireless circuit breaker can also include an energy storage device for supplying power to the circuit breaker after it has tripped, allowing the circuit breaker to transmit information after a trip. The main energy monitoring module includes a processor and a gateway for evaluating and transmitting information received from the circuit breaker to other applications, such as webpages and smartphones.

  • Publication number: 20140143513
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus with improved techniques for copying data from a source memory location to a destination memory location are disclosed. An exemplary method includes receiving a source address that indicates the source memory location, a destination address that indicates the destination memory location, and receiving a size indicator that indicates the size of the data. When the size is less than a threshold size, a particular pointer in a jump table is accessed, based upon the size that points to particular load and store instructions. The jump table includes a plurality of pointers that point to a corresponding one of a plurality of load and store instructions. The particular load-store instructions are then executed with a processor of the computing device to copy the data from the source memory location to the destination memory location. Several other efficiency-improvement aspects are also disclosed that may be used in connection with these steps to further improve copy efficiencies.
