  • Publication number: 20170187515
Abstract: The disclosure provides a frequency synthesizer. It includes a PFD that generates an up signal and a down signal in response to a reference signal and a feedback signal. A charge pump generates a control voltage in response to the up signal and the down signal. A low pass filter generates a filtered voltage in response to the control voltage. An oscillator circuit generates an output signal in response to the filtered voltage. A feedback divider is coupled between the oscillator circuit and the PFD, and divides the output signal by a first integer divider to generate the feedback signal. A sigma delta modulator (SDM) generates a second integer divider in response to the feedback signal, the reference signal, the output signal and the first integer divider. A digital filter is coupled between the SDM and the feedback divider, and filters quantization noise associated with the SDM.

  • Patent number: 9690941
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are provided for provisioning encrypted key blobs and client certificates. That is, a trusted execution environment on a first machine may provide a key service provider with a cryptographic encryption key. The key service provider may encrypt a key blob using the cryptographic encryption key and/or wrap the encrypted key blob with one or more policies, such as a platform policy. The key service provider may provision the encrypted key blob to a client on the first machine. The client may submit the encrypted key blob to the trusted execution environment for validation so that the client may perform key actions, such as sign an email or encrypt data. Because the key blob may be specific to a particular trusted execution environment and/or machine, the key service provider may re-wrap the key blob if the client “roams” to a second machine.

  • Publication number: 20170140130
Abstract: Systems and methods for facilitating a trusted platform module (TPM) or other protector mechanism that provides a device with a trusted device capability store. To provide the device with a trusted device capability store, a fingerprint of an endorsement key that is associated with the TPM or other protector mechanism can be imprinted into firmware of the device. By imprinting the fingerprint into the firmware, the device can determine whether or not the TPM or other protector mechanism the device is communicating with is the TPM or other protector mechanism associated with the device. The TPM or other protector mechanism can include the endorsement key, the trusted device capability store, and an access policy. The trusted device capability store can include one or more capabilities associated with the device. The access policy can indicate both unauthorized read access and authorized write access associated with the TPM or other protector mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20170068118
Abstract: An anti-aliasing photodetector system for a powered ophthalmic device, such as a contact lens, may be utilized for any number of functions. The anti-aliasing photodetector system converts current from an array of photodetectors into a voltage for use in other aspects of the powered ophthalmic device. The anti-aliasing photodetector system comprises a photodiode array including a plurality of individual photodiodes, an integrate-and-hold circuit, including a capacitor and switch to convert current to voltage, and an analog-to-digital converter. The anti-aliasing photodetector system provides for low power consumption, a wide dynamic range, noise rejection, and is capable of detecting incident ambient visible light as well as incident infrared light.

  • Patent number: 9424431
Abstract: In a pre-operating system environment on a device prior to loading and running an operating system on the device, a policy identifying configuration settings for the operating system is obtained. The operating system itself is prevented from changing this policy, but the policy can be changed under certain circumstances by components of the pre-operating system environment. The policy is compared to configuration values used by the operating system, and the operating system is allowed to boot with the configuration values if the configuration values satisfy the policy. However, if the configuration values do not satisfy the policy, then a responsive action is taken.

  • Publication number: 20160112203
Abstract: Techniques for a trust service for a client device are described. In various implementations, a trust service is implemented remotely from a client device and provides various trust-related functions to the client device. According to various implementations, communication between a client device and a remote trust service is authenticated by a client identifier (ID) that is maintained by both the client device and the remote trust service. In at least some implementations, the client ID is stored on a location of the client device that is protected from access by (e.g., is inaccessible to) device components such as an operating system, applications, and so forth. Thus, the client ID may be utilized to generate signatures to authenticate communications between the client device and the remote trust service.

  • Patent number: 9242406
Abstract: Apparatuses and processes for aperturing and stretching a web are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method involves feeding a web into a nip that is formed between at least one pair of intermeshing rolls. The first roll is a raised ridge rotary knife aperturing roll and the second roll is a ring roll; both rolls comprise ridges and grooves. The first roll comprises a plurality of spaced-apart teeth extending outwardly from the top surface of the ridges, said teeth having tips, wherein the top surface of said ridges are disposed between the tips of said teeth and the bottom surface of said grooves. These apparatuses and processes enable a web to be formed which comprises apertures having greater open area than previously achievable with traditional processes and apparatuses.
