  • Publication number: 20240307849
Abstract: Functionalized polymer compositions are provided that can have beneficial properties for CO2 sorption and/or desorption. The functionalized polymer compositions can be based on polymers of intrinsic microporosity. The polymers of intrinsic microporosity can then be at least partially reacted to form polymers functionalized with guanidine and/or amidine derivatives where at least a portion of the polymeric repeat units have a substituent that includes a guanidine derivative and/or amidine derivative as a functional group. Optionally, the functionalized polymers of intrinsic microporosity can be further reacted in order to further modify the guanidine derivative and/or amidine derivative that is substituted at one or more locations of a polymeric repeat unit.

  • Publication number: 20240314724
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that provide managing transmissions of sidelink positioning reference signals (PRS) with a timing advance offset (TA) from a sidelink node. In aspects, a sidelink node (e.g., a target user equipment (UE) or an assisting UE) may receive transmissions from a plurality of nodes (e.g., target UEs or assisting UEs). The sidelink node obtains at least one TA to be used by a transmitting node of the plurality of nodes for transmitting a sidelink PRS to the sidelink node (e.g., to advance the sidelink PRS transmission to the sidelink node with respect to the timing of the first transmission). The TA is an offset obtained by the sidelink node based on the receiving times of the transmissions from the plurality of nodes. The sidelink node may receive PRS transmissions from the plurality of nodes in a same symbol aligned within the same CP.

  • Publication number: 20240309309
Abstract: Conventionally control and optimization of bioreactor has been challenging due to the unpredictable behaviour of living cells and non-linear process dynamics. Present disclosure provides systems and methods that implement a physics-based model that performs simulation on pre-processed sensor values obtained from various soft sensors placed on a bioreactor to obtain simulated variables. Using the set of simulated variables, real-time operating parameters pertaining to the bioreactor are optimized. The optimized real-time operating variables are then compared with the actual real-time operating parameters to obtain a set of correction factors. One or more recommended parameter values are identified based on the correction factors and the real-time operating parameters are updated accordingly.

  • Patent number: 12091936
Abstract: Disclosed is a rupture disc assembly for use in making a temporary seal in a vessel such as a casing string. The rupture disc assembly may include a rupture disc having a side surface that has a shallow angle taper inward towards a bottom surface of the rupture disc, and a mounting apparatus to support the rupture disc so that the rupture disc forms the temporary seal. When a disc working pressure is applied to a top surface of the rupture disc, engagement/force transmission between the rupture disc and the mounting apparatus produces enough radial compression in the rupture disc due to the shallow angle taper to significantly mitigate or cancel tensile stresses thereby avoiding the rupture disc from breaking. The rupture disc may be configured to break when the rupture disc is subjected to a disc working pressure that is greater than the disc rupture pressure, thereby removing the temporary seal.
