  • Patent number: 12256808
Abstract: A reel for tightening an article includes a housing and a spool positioned within the housing. A knob is coupled with the spool to cause the spool to rotate within the housing and thereby wind a tension member about a central post of the spool. A load holding mechanism is coupled with the spool and the housing and includes a first friction element and a second friction element that are frictionally engageable to prevent rotation of the spool in a second direction to prevent unwinding of the tension member from the spool's central post. Rotation of the knob in a first direction reduces frictional engagement of the friction elements to enable rotation of the spool in the first direction and tension in the tension member biases the spool toward rotation in the second direction which increases the frictional engagement of the friction elements.

  • Patent number: 12261979
Abstract: Methods for Enhanced Dynamic Emergency Location Routing (E-DLR) are provided. The method includes receiving a Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) emergency call from a roaming emergency caller associated with a first country having an associated telephone number (TN) and an associated address, the VoIP emergency call being made in a second country, different from the first country. It is determined that the associated address is a shared address based on information in a geolocation record. The shared address is not a home address associated with the roaming emergency caller. The emergency call is routed from the roaming emergency caller to a public safety answering point (PSAP) associated with the second country using the proxy TN associated with the shared address.

  • Patent number: 12262067
Abstract: A system and method for providing awareness in a hospitality environment are presented. In one embodiment, a vertical and horizontal array of set-top boxes is provided and each set-top box includes an identification corresponding to the room in which the set-top box is placed. Each set-top box includes a wireless transceiver that periodically transmits an identification beacon that is received by a proximate wireless-enabled interactive device. The proximate wireless-enabled interactive device, in turn, broadcasts data packets including an indication of the strength of set-top box identification signals received. The broadcasts are received by a server via an array of wireless routers. The location of the proximate wireless-enabled interactive device is determined based on the signal strength information in the data packets.

  • Patent number: 12260317
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a compiler for optimizing the implementation of a machine-trained network (e.g., a neural network) on an integrated circuit (IC). The compiler of some embodiments receives a specification of a machine-trained network including multiple layers of computation nodes and generates a graph representing options for implementing the machine-trained network in the IC. In some embodiments, the compiler also generates instructions for gating operations. Gating operations, in some embodiments, include gating at multiple levels (e.g., gating of clusters, cores, or memory units). Gating operations conserve power in some embodiments by gating signals so that they do not reach the gated element or so that they are not propagated within the gated element. In some embodiments, a clock signal is gated such that a register that transmits data on a rising (or falling) edge of a clock signal is not triggered.
