  • Publication number: 20250097479
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to deblocking filtering, which may be advantageously applied for block-wise encoding and decoding of images or video signals. In particular, the present disclosure relates to an improved memory management in an automated decision on whether to apply or skip deblocking filtering for a block and to selection of the deblocking filter. The decision is performed on the basis of a segmentation of blocks in such a manner that memory usage is optimized. Preferably, the selection of appropriate deblocking filters is improved so as to reduce computational expense.

  • Publication number: 20250096882
Abstract: An apparatus includes an antenna array having a plurality of antennas. The antenna array is configured to receive a multi-carrier signal from a multi-antenna transmitter over a radio channel. The multi-carrier signal has at least two subcarriers, and each subcarrier is mapped at the transmitter to a respective subcarrier-beamformer. The respective subcarrier-beamformers has non-identical null and beam cone directions. A processor is configured to identify a communication direction for a radio signal communication between the apparatus and the transmitter. The communication direction is identified based on one or more specular path components of the radio channel which are related to a null or to a maximum of a subcarrier-beamformer.

  • Publication number: 20250097026
Abstract: Techniques are described relating to the ownership and management of digital assets that are represented by non-fungible tokens (or “NFTs”) on a blockchain. Trusted hardware is used to enable encrypted digital assets to be consumed solely by the owners of the encrypted digital assets and further to enable the transfer of ownership in the digital asset to a new owner using a blockchain. An owner of a digital asset controls access to and consumption of the digital asset via the trusted hardware to which the asset is cryptographically bound. The legal ownership of the digital asset is represented on the blockchain via an NFT. When an NFT changes ownership (e.g., when it is sold to a new owner) on the blockchain, a secure hardware-to-hardware asset transfer protocol is used (off-chain).

  • Publication number: 20250098030
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for automatic PLMN serving system reselection based on E911 PSAP termination failures. For example, a UE may initiate a call for emergency services on a network provided by a cell site simulator. When the connection fails, metrics corresponding to the termination failure are communicated to the PLMN the next time the UE connects to a legitimate network. The fraudulent cell sites may be communicated by the UE to other UEs via peer-to-peer communication and/or added to an FPLMN list to prevent other UEs from connecting to networks provided by the fraudulent cell sites.

  • Publication number: 20250091236
Abstract: Sensor-based systems and methods of analyzing shaving usage based on time duration. A shaving device comprises a blade. The shaving device is communicatively coupled to a sensor and one or more processor(s). Sensor data is collected from the sensor while a user is shaving, and user-specific pressure data is determined therefrom to define one or more shaving strokes based on pressure applied to the user's skin. Based on the one or more shaving strokes and timer intervals thereof, a total duration can be tracked. The total duration can be determined to meet or exceed a predetermined threshold value. An output associated with the shaving device may be generated based on the determining that the total duration meets or exceeds the predetermined threshold value, the output comprising an indication that the total duration meets or exceeds the predetermined threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20250097302
Abstract: A system is disclosed that includes capabilities by which a nested sub-resource residing in a service tenancy can access a customer-owned resource residing in a customer tenancy without the use of a cross-tenant policy. The disclosed system provides the ability for a nested sub-resource residing in a service tenancy to obtain the resource principal identity of a higher-level resource residing in the customer tenancy and use the identity of the higher-level resource to access a customer-owned resource residing in the customer tenancy. Using the resource principal identity of its higher-level resource, the sub-resource can access a customer-owned resource that resides in a customer tenancy in a seamless way without having to write a cross-tenancy policy statement that provides permission to the sub-resource to access the customer-owned resource.

  • Publication number: 20250089941
Abstract: The invention relates to a cooking system utilizing a single-zone or multi-zone induction-based griddle that provides uniform heat across a cooking surface. The system provides a larger cooking surface, a shorter warmup time, and a more targeted heating with a more uniform temperature distribution. A multi-layer cooking surface may converting a magnetic field into a thermal field by employing ferritic stainless steels, e.g., in an upper and lower layer. A middle layer(s) enhances heat transfer towards the entire cooking surface and stores a proper amount of heat inertia in the system. The middle layer, e.g., of aluminum, copper, or carbon-based materials may be separated into zones separated by cavities filled with insulation materials. The system may be utilized for indoor or outdoor grills.

  • Publication number: 20250097854
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, determining a self-interference channel response of a transceiver of a mobile base station having a transmitter and a receiver. The self-interference channel response spans multiple sub-bands of a predetermined mobile cellular frequency channel. A first sub-band of the multiple sub-bands is identified according to the self-interference channel response and, an estimate is determined, at the receiver, of a first coupled transmit power level of the transmitter when operating within the first sub-band. A receiver sensitivity is adjusted according to the first coupled transmit power level to obtain an adjustment adapted to increase receiver sensitivity, while restricting operation of the receiver to a substantially linear region. The adjustment allows a transmission within the first sub-band and a reception within a second sub-band of the plurality of sub-bands to occur simultaneously at the mobile base station. Other embodiments are disclosed.
