  • Patent number: 7407572
Abstract: This invention relates to an apparatus and process for atomizing a petroleum feed. More particularly, a liquid petroleum feed is atomized with an atomization apparatus in which the apparatus has an orifice that produces a generally flat spray pattern of finely dispersed feed prior to contacting catalyst in a fluid catalytic cracking zone. The orifice has a general aspect ratio greater than 1.0 and a ratio of perimeter length-to-cross-sectional area greater than 1.5 relative to a perimeter-to-cross-sectional area ratio of a circular orifice of equivalent area. • Patent number: 7408809
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for programming a single-poly pFET-based nonvolatile memory cell bias the cell so that band-to-band tunneling (BTBT) is induced and electrons generated by the BTBT are injected onto a floating gate of the cell. Following a predetermined event, the single-poly pFET is biased to induce impact-ionized hot-electron injection (IHEI). The predetermined event may be, for example, the expiration of a predetermined time period or a determination that a channel has been formed by the BTBT injection process that is sufficiently conducting to support IHEI. Employing BTBT permits a previously overerased or stuck bit to be “unstuck” or “removed” and thus be made usable (i.e., able to be programmed) again.

The apparatus and method are used to display a set of items within a content collection, such as a set of files within a folder on a computer operating system. The method includes obtaining data from the items that describes an item type for a number of the items. Based upon the obtained item types a distribution of the types of items within the collection is determined. The content collection is categorized based upon the determined distribution and, based upon the category, the content collection is displayed in a certain format that is chosen to best display that category of content. A user interface is also provided that includes a working area that displays the contents of a content collection. • Patent number: 7409670
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for implementing a programmable device including a processor core, a hardware accelerator, and secondary components such as memory. A portion of a program written in a high-level language is automatically selected for hardware acceleration. Dedicated ports are generated to allow the hardware accelerator to handle pointer referencing and dereferencing. A hardware accelerator is generated to perform pipelined processing of instructions. The number of stages implemented for pipelined processing is at least partially dependent on the latency associated with accessing secondary components.

  • Publication number: 20080178541
Abstract: Fiber reinforced polymeric pultruded cladding as jamb cover elements and mullion cover elements, for door frames and mullions, using pultruded structures as cladding over substrates. A jamb cover assembly includes a pultruded jamb plate and/or a pultruded nosing, and a mounting fin. The mounting fin extends from a distal side of the assembly. The frame can be secured in a doorway rough opening with the nosing assembled to the jamb plate, using the mounting fin for initial securement, optionally without assembly or disassembly of the frame at the construction site. Pultruded substrate covering covers both the outer surface and opposing sides of a mullion substrate. A pultruded mullion nosing is assembled to the substrate covering, and overlies part of the substrate cover, providing complete pultruded overlayment of the outer surface of the mullion substrate and spacing the front panel of the nosing from the outer surface of the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20080184241
Abstract: Techniques are provided for determining a schedule for performing tasks. Each of the tasks to be scheduled is registered. The schedule includes tasks to be performed for a plurality of devices using at least one shared resource. The schedule is determined for performing the tasks in accordance with resources used by each of the tasks and in accordance with usage patterns of the plurality of devices. An inquiry is made as to whether to commence performance of a task at an associated scheduled time in accordance with the schedule. A scheduler determines whether one or more resources used by said task are available. If the determining step determines that the one or more resources are not available, rescheduling the task to be performed at another time.
