  • Publication number: 20240317819
Abstract: Polypeptides are chimeric klebicins, which have one or more translocation domains, one or more receptor-binding domains, and one or more bactericidal domains. Each of the domains is derived from a naturally-occurring klebicin. The killing domain and at least one of the receptor-binding domains are derived from two different naturally-occurring klebicins. The chimeric klebicins achieve improved target cell range and bactericidal activity. The chimeric klebicins can be incorporated into compositions and kits, and can be used in methods of suppressing growth of Klebsiella pneumoniae.

  • Publication number: 20240320892
Abstract: Provided is a framework for generating photorealistic 3D talking faces conditioned only on audio input. In addition, the present disclosure provides associated methods to insert generated faces into existing videos or virtual environments. We decompose faces from video into a normalized space that decouples 3D geometry, head pose, and texture. This allows separating the prediction problem into regressions over the 3D face shape and the corresponding 2D texture atlas. To stabilize temporal dynamics, we propose an auto-regressive approach that conditions the model on its previous visual state. We also capture face illumination in our model using audio-independent 3D texture normalization.

  • Publication number: 20240323744
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for an on-board unit (OBU) associated with a vehicle to offload traffic to a handheld user equipment (UE) associated with the vehicle. The UE may receive an indication of time-frequency resources to use for transmitting one or more messages on behalf of the OBU, and may transmit the one or more messages to a network entity via the time-frequency resources. In some cases, a status of the OBU may indicate that the OBU is unable to meet requirements for communicating with the network entity, which may trigger the offloading. For example, the OBU may determine to offload the traffic based on identifying the status. Additionally, or alternatively, the network entity may indicate that the OBU is to offload the traffic after receiving a status report from the OBU.

  • Patent number: 12099852
Abstract: Shared hoteling workspaces and computer equipment are preconfigured based on location. A location associated with a mobile device is monitored. As the mobile device moves toward a workspace, computer peripheral equipment assigned to the workspace are identified and a best known configuration is retrieved. As the mobile device continues moving toward the workspace, the mobile device installs the best known configuration. Location-based policies and configuration events are defined and executed to ensure the best known configuration is timely installed. When the mobile device arrives at the workspace, the mobile device has been automatically configured to the computer peripheral equipment at the workspace. The mobile device is thus preconfigured, perhaps just in time, for immediate productivity and optimum user experience. Moreover, when the location of the mobile device no longer matches the workspace, the best known configuration may be automatically deleted to conserve memory.

  • Patent number: 12100124
Abstract: The disclosure herein relates to methods and systems for generating an end-to-end de-smoking model for removing smoke present in a video. Conventional data-driven based de-smoking approaches are limited mainly due to lack of suitable training data. Further, the conventional data-driven based de-smoking approaches are not end-to-end for removing the smoke present in the video. The de-smoking model of the present disclosure is trained end-to-end with the use of synthesized smoky video frames that are obtained by source aware smoke synthesis approach. The end-to-end de-smoking model localize and remove the smoke present in the video, using dynamic properties of the smoke. Hence the end-to-end de-smoking model simultaneously identifies the regions affected with the smoke and performs the de-smoking with minimal artifacts. localized smoke removal and color restoration of a real-time video.

  • Publication number: 20240311684
Abstract: For AI-based recommendations in a service management system, the AI is machine trained using gamification. A model of the service management system is used in simulation to train a policy in reinforcement learning to implement strategies for improvement of KPI(s). By varying sampling of distribution of parameters of the model and/or varying the distributions of parameters used in the model, the policy learns to deal with a variety of situations using the simulations from the model. The resulting AI (machine-learned policy) is used to make recommendations for the service management system.
