  • Publication number: 20180136808
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for facilitating access to a resource represented in an image at a later time. A screen capture of an image displayed on a computing device is implemented. Metadata, including the resource location, resource navigation and positional metadata, regarding the source data of the screen capture image is generated. The generated metadata is then embedded into the screen capture image. The screen capture image with the embedded metadata is then transmitted to a different user. By embedding the metadata into the screen capture image, the user receiving the screen capture image will be able to reproduce the state of the source environment when the image was captured using the embedded metadata thereby opening the resource represented in the image.

  • Publication number: 20180130337
Abstract: A method and system for interacting with a wearable device is provided. The method includes detecting, by a first wearable device of a first user, a body attachment band of a second wearable device of a second user physically interlinked with a body attachment band of the first wearable device. In response, operational attributes of the first wearable device are activated and a specified configuration between the body attachment band of the first wearable device and the body attachment band of the second wearable device is detected. Specified actions associated with the operational attributes are determined and a specified action is executed with respect to a first operational attribute. • Patent number: 9952935
Abstract: Approaches presented herein enable automatically detecting and preventing backup of content from a client system to a remote backup system based on specified criteria. Specifically, content on a client system is analyzed to determine one or more of content items to be backed up from the client system to a remote backup system. A set of content items from among the content items that match one or more specified criteria is detected. The specified criteria may include classes of content (e.g., document, text message, e-mail message, photograph, etc.) and contact names associated with the classes of content (e.g., creator, recipient, sender, owner, etc.). Responsive to detecting the set of content items that match the one or more specified criteria, the set of content items is prevented from being backed up to the remote backup system.

  • Patent number: 9948494
Abstract: A mobile device includes a network connection device capable of forming a communication connection to a cellular network and to a wi-fi network and communicating with an application server and an application capable of communicating through the both cellular and wi-fi networks device to a remote device. The mobile device also includes a context module that records and analyzes information about a user's interactions with data provide to the device by the remote device. The context module modifies an API call between the application and the application server based on analysis of prior usage of the application and a current communication connection of the network device.

  • Patent number: 9928087
Abstract: At a system configured according to a first configuration, an activity that uses a second configuration is detected. A set of changes is determined, which when applied to the first configuration result in the second configuration. State information of a second activity at the system is saved. The set of changes is applied to the first configuration to operate the system under the second configuration. The activity is performed under the second configuration until completion. A portion of the set of changes is removed from a portion of the second configuration such that the portion of the second configuration reverts to a corresponding portion of the first configuration. The second activity is resumed using the saved state information. The state information is sufficient to resume the second activity after the activity has completed and from a point reached in the second activity before the applying of the set of changes.

  • Patent number: 9930085
Abstract: Methods, systems and computer program products for configuring an audio channel are provided. Aspects include generating a confidence metric indicative of at least one control cue in a telecommunication audio feed input. Generating the confidence metric can include analyzing the control cue to determine a cue type, assigning a confidence metric value for the control cue based on the cue type, and comparing the confidence metric value to a predetermined threshold value associated with the cue type. Aspects also include updating a context history with the cue type and configuring an audio channel output based on the confidence metric and context history.

  • Publication number: 20180082046
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for enforcing licensing terms when distributing content via a container image running in a container. Upon receiving a request for a service from the container by the isolation code, where the isolation code limits, accounts and isolates resource usage of process groups, the commerce code application programming interfaces (APIs) of the isolation code read a key of the container. The key contains licensing terms applied to the component(s) (e.g., applications) of the container. The commerce code APIs will then confirm that the container is in compliance with those licensing terms. If the container is in compliance with the licensing terms, the container will be allowed to execute. Otherwise, the container will be prevented from executing. In this manner, the commerce code APIs can enforce the licensing terms, including restrictions and enforcement of payment to the licensor upon distributing content in the container.

  • Patent number: 9923955
Abstract: A method and a system for enabling resource consumption for one or more applications running in a virtual production environment within a production environment based on a testing analysis. The method and system includes generating a multi-stage virtual computing environment within a computing production environment. A software application can run in the virtual computing environment. The method and system provides access to resources in the computing production environment from the virtual computing environment. The method and system allows the software application access to the computing production environment based on a testing analysis and uses abstraction layers to control allocation of resources in the production environment.

  • Publication number: 20180067943
Abstract: Approaches presented herein enable automatically indicating approval between portions of content in digital items in a digital item network context based on social media activity. Specifically, activity signals (e.g., likes, shares, etc.) related to a social media item in a social media network environment having a topic are evaluated and a set of tags are generated based on the topic. A first portion of content from a first digital item and a second portion of content from a second digital item are selected from a collection of digital items received via a digital item network. The first portion and second portion are related to the topic based on the set of generated tags. An approval action (e.g., likes) is performed between the first portion and second portion.
