  • Publication number: 20030141646
Abstract: A tile shaping bench including an elongate guide extrusion having surfaces defining a channel adapted for receiving an edge of a tile, a first surface of the channel defined by a resilient surface, an elongate top extrusion positioned adjacent to the guide extension and including an elongate tile engaging surface, and an elongate clamp extrusion disposed below the top extrusion and including at least one operable clamp mechanism, the clamp mechanism operable to urge a tile against the elongate tile engaging surface of the top extrusion.

  • Publication number: 20030132050
Abstract: A suspended drive axle and agricultural tractor having same including a central housing having inboard final drives and left and right axle housing suspended therefrom by upper and lower control arms with axle shafts extending outwardly therefrom to which wheel and tire assemblies are mounted. A constant velocity universal joint is provided between the inboard final drives and the axle shafts. The universal joint having a pair of journal members and a coupling yoke that radially surround the drive and driven yokes of the joint whereby the axial length of the universal joint is minimized to enable the wheels to be located on the axle shafts at 60 inch tread spacing. This allows the drive axle to be used on a row crop tractor without altering the structure of the vehicle from a conventional row crop tractor whereby the characteristics of a row crop tractor are maintained.

  • Patent number: 6535583
Abstract: A method and apparatus for storing a voice message. The method includes the steps of storing a coded representation of the voice message in a block of memory associated with the voice message and sized to correspond to the size of the coded representation, retrieving the coded representation to play the voice message to a user, compressing the coded representation to produce a compressed representation of the voice message, the compressed representation having a lesser size than the coded representation, after the coded representation has been retrieved, and storing the compressed representation of the message in the block of memory in place of the coded representation.

  • Patent number: 6283974
Abstract: A micro surgical phacoemulsification tip wherein a repetitive pattern is etched into the inner lumen surface of a surgical tip in a controlled pattern such that a resonance condition is created which is in harmonic phase with the frequency of the phacoemulsification energy source, thereby reducing destructive interference waves and creating constructive waves; virtually eliminating instantaneous tip temperature spikes and removing the risk of potential tissue burning. More specifically, the present invention is drawn to phacoemulsification needles having a lumen surface having micro-grooved channels positioned thereon which center harmonic phased ultrasonic generated acoustic wavefront interiorly from the needle wall. The micro-grooved channeling of the present invention will work with the axial length of any phacoemulsification needle tip harmonic.

  • Patent number: 5805687
Abstract: An apparatus for muting communications subscriber equipment connected to a communications line includes a monitoring circuit for monitoring electrical conditions of the communications line, when the subscriber equipment is connected thereto. A disconnection circuit is provided for disconnecting the subscriber equipment from the communication line and a termination circuit is provided for terminating the communications line with a dummy termination when the subscriber equipment is disconnected, such that, the communications line appears to be terminated by the subscriber equipment. When the subscriber equipment is disconnected from the communications line a power supply circuit provides power to the subscriber equipment with the same electrical conditions as determined by the monitoring circuit prior to disconnecting the subscriber equipment.

  • Patent number: 5768367
Abstract: A circuit for use with a SCWID adjunct to remove A.C. in-band signaling tones from the voice path to a telephone apparatus serially connected to the adjunct. The A.C. signal component is carried on top of the D.C. voltage used to power the telephone. The circuit includes means to monitor the D.C. voltage level and to pass this voltage substantially unchanged to the telephone. The A.C. signal in the form of a FSK tone, received from the central office, is used by the adjunct to provide a subscriber with call feature information such as the identity of a calling party while the telephone is off-hook.

  • Patent number: 4051645
Abstract: Apples are packaged by introducing them in a water bath in which they float upwardly into an open bottom porous cage. After the cage is filled with apples it is moved laterally in the water bath to an apple loading zone for packaging in a wooden bin. The wooden bin is initially placed at such zone below the apple filled cage. The bin and cage are then raised out of the water to an elevation between a bin feed conveyor and a bin discharge conveyor. When and as the bin is being raised upwardly through the water the apples from the cage fall into the bin and once such apple filled bin reaches the above mentioned elevation an empty bin on the feed conveyor is moved to dislodge the apple-filled bin onto the discharge conveyor with the empty bin then remaining on the elevator and being subsequently moved downwardly through the water to a position below expectant arrival of another apple-filled cage.
