  • Publication number: 20170091692
Abstract: In an example embodiment, a member profile corresponding to a member of a social networking service is obtained. Usage information for the member is then obtained, and one or more member metrics are calculated based on the member profile and usage information for the corresponding member. A plurality of features are extracted from the member profile and the one or more member metrics. The plurality of features is inserted into an organization name confidence score model to obtain a confidence score for an organization name in the member profile.

  • Publication number: 20170091543
Abstract: In an example embodiment, a web page is obtained using a web page address stored in a first record and is parsed to extract one or more images from the web page along with a second plurality of features for each of the one or more images from the web page. Information about each image of the web page and the extracted second plurality of features for the web page are input into a supervised machine learning classifier to calculate a logo confidence score for each image of the web page, the logo confidence score indicating the probability that the image is an organization logo. In response to a particular image in the web page having a logo confidence score transgressing a first threshold, the particular image is injected into an organization logo field of the first record.

  • Publication number: 20170064427
Abstract: The wireless earphone (1) comprises a housing (2) having a bud portion abutting an elongated stem portion. The bud portion is to fit within an ear. The bud portion has a primary sound outlet (5) at its far end that is to be inserted into an outer ear canal, and abuts the stem portion at its near end. A speaker driver (6) is inside the bud portion. Electronic circuitry (7,24) inside the housing (2) includes a wireless communications interface (4) to receive audio content over-the-air and in response provides an audio signal to the speaker driver. A rechargeable battery (3) as a power source for the electronic circuitry is located inside a cavity of the stem portion.

  • Patent number: 9485778
Abstract: A system and method for peer-to-peer communications is disclosed. A first wireless device receives a message from a second wireless device identifying communication requirements of a point-to-point communication involving the second wireless device. The first wireless device determines whether the second wireless device's communication requirements can be satisfied based on communication resources already committed for other communications. When the communication requirements of the second wireless device can be satisfied, the first wireless device generates a time sharing schedule to be used by the first and second wireless devices based on the already-committed communication requirements and the second device's communication requirements. The time sharing schedule may include a first portion for broadcast communication among a group of devices to which the first and second wireless devices belong, and a second portion for the point-to-point communications of the second wireless devices.

  • Publication number: 20160262056
Abstract: A device may store a plurality of different coexistence profiles for different possible communication scenarios. The device may be initialized with a first one of the coexistence profiles, and may operate to dynamically switch to different ones of the coexistence profiles based on current conditions. Each coexistence profile may include a number of coexistence related parameters stored as a plurality of data structures. During device use, the device may dynamically select an appropriate coexistence profile based on the current communication conditions, such as Wi-Fi RSSI, Bluetooth RSSI, and/or the number of Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth devices with which communication is currently occurring, among other possible factors. The coexistence profile is selected to provide the best possible Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth output performance based on current conditions. The device may repeatedly dynamically select different coexistence profiles as conditions change, e.g.

  • Publication number: 20160224453
Abstract: A machine may be configured to monitor the quality of software systems based on key performance indicators associated with versions of various units of code. For example, the machine accesses a current version of a unit of code that is not marked as evaluated, in a database. The machine generates a current key performance indicator (KPI) value for the current version of the unit of code based on an execution of the current version of the unit of code. The machine identifies a previous KPI value associated with a previous version of the unit of code that is marked as evaluated, in the database. The machine determines that the current KPI value is less than the previous KPI value and generates an alert for presentation in a user interface of a device. The alert may indicate a decreasing quality level associated with the current version of the unit of code.

  • Publication number: 20160105488
Abstract: A hybrid cloud computing system having a private data center and a public cloud computing system is discussed. The private data center is managed by a first organization. The public cloud computing system is managed by a second organization, and the first organization is a tenant in the public cloud computing system. The hybrid cloud computing system is configured to generate a mapping that contextualizes virtual objects migrated between the private data center and the public cloud computing system based on the objects' location. Such a mapping is maintained to expose the true hybridity of the hybrid cloud rather than present two distinct views of a private data center (or private cloud) and a public cloud.

  • Patent number: 9112986
Abstract: Providing supplemental audio signal processing for a Bluetooth audio link. A wireless device may establish a bi-directional wireless audio link with a Bluetooth device. An indication may be received that the Bluetooth device supports audio signal processing. A device type of the Bluetooth device may be determined. The wireless device may perform one or more audio signal processing operations on audio data transmitted to and/or received from the Bluetooth device via the bi-directional wireless audio link. The audio signal processing operations may be selected based on the device type of the Bluetooth device, and may be performed in addition to audio signal processing operations which may be performed on the audio data by the Bluetooth device.

  • Patent number: 9008580
Abstract: In the described embodiments, when configuring a Bluetooth network connection between a first electronic device and a second electronic device, the first electronic device sends a configuration message to the second electronic device that indicates that a first codec is preferentially to be used when communicating audio data using the Bluetooth network connection. Upon receiving a response from the second electronic device that indicates that the first codec is permissible to use, the first electronic device configures itself to use the first codec when communicating audio data using the Bluetooth network connection. Otherwise, upon receiving a response from the second electronic device that indicates that the first codec is not permissible to use, the first electronic device configures itself to use a second codec when communicating audio data using the Bluetooth network connection.

  • Patent number: 8825873
Abstract: The described embodiments provide an electronic device for forming a network connection. In the described embodiments, a first electronic device determines that a network connection is to be made to at least one other electronic device to access a service on the other electronic device. The first electronic device then searches for available electronic devices that provide the service. Prior to finding a second electronic device that provides the service, the first electronic device receives a request from the second electronic device to access a related service provided by the first electronic device. In these embodiments, the request is received on a network connection formed by the second electronic device between the second electronic device and the first electronic device. Based on the received request, the first electronic device then uses the network connection formed by the second electronic device to communicate with the second electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20130328667
Abstract: An electronic device is described. When this electronic device receives a command from another electronic device via a connection using an interface circuit on the electronic device, the electronic device provides the command from the interface circuit to a program module that executes on the portable electronic device, and the program module executes the command. The command may include: starting an application on the electronic device, turning off the application, and/or transitioning the application to a modified presentation operation mode. In this way, the other electronic device may remotely interact with the application on the electronic device.
