  • Patent number: 12376151
Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may monitor LBT subbands to determine when a COT is activated. A WTRU may vary monitoring based on whether the WTRU received a full or partial COT structure. A WTRU may interpret a scheduling grant based on the set of acquired LBT subbands. A WTRU may determine a channel access priority (CAP) associated with a COT. A WTRU may indicate a CAP used to acquire a COT. A WTRU may receive an indication of a CAP used by a network to start a COT. A WTRU may determine a logical channel restriction based on a CAP associated with the COT. A WTRU may determine whether a logical channel may be included in a transmission during a COT based on a logical channel restriction. A transmission may be during a COT via a subband(s).

  • Publication number: 20250240123
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein for selective one-shot hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback by priority level. For example, a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may determine a priority associated with each transport block (TB). The each TB may correspond to respective HARQ processes associated with downlink transmissions from a base station (BS). The WTRU may receive, from the BS, a request for the one-shot HARQ feedback with an indication of a priority selected for the one-shot HARQ feedback. The WTRU may generate a HARQ codebook for transmission of the one-shot feedback. The HARQ codebook may comprise one or more information bits corresponding to one or more TBs determined based on the indicated priority. The WTRU may determine, based on a number of the one or more information bits, a transmission power and transmit, at the transmission power, the one-shot feedback comprising the generated HARQ codebook.

  • Publication number: 20250234340
Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are described herein for adaptive waveform selection for wireless communication. In examples, the wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may be configured with the orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) initially. If the WTRU, which may support dynamic waveform switch, receives system information blocks (SIBs) from multiple cells where at least one of them supports dynamic waveform switch, the WTRU may prioritize the initial access with the cell(s) that support dynamic waveform switch. If the WTRU supports dynamic waveform switch, the WTRU may send a physical uplink shared channel (RUSCH) in msg3 at a configured grant, which may be offset by a preconfigured number of slots with a waveform that is different from the preconfigured waveform type.

  • Patent number: 12363737
Abstract: A wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) may be configured to receive configuration information from a network regarding a set of spatial filters for the WTRU to use to communicate with the network. Each of the spatial filters may be associated a beam group and/or a measurement resource. The WTRU may further receive downlink control information (DCI) that indicates one or more time periods in which a portion of the set of configured spatial filters may be applicable. Based on the configuration information, the DCI, and/or a measurement, the WTRU may select a spatial filter from the portion of spatial filters to apply in the time period, and the WTRU may perform a communication task in the time period using the selected spatial filter.

  • Publication number: 20250227738
Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may determine to transmit or receive a first sidelink (SL) transmission using first SL resources using a first carrier, and transmit a second SL transmission using second SL resources using a second carrier. The second SL resources may include an overlapping period, in which the second SL resources overlap with the first SL resources. If the overlapping period is in the last one or more symbols of the second SL resources, the WTRU may transmit, using the second carrier, at least part of the second SL transmission using a first set of symbols of the second SL resources in the overlapping period and not transmit, using the second carrier, a part of the second SL transmission using a second set of symbols of the second SL resources in the overlapping period. The WTRU may transmit or receive the first SL transmission in the overlapping period.

  • Publication number: 20250220681
Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) determines PDCCH candidates. For a slot, the WTRU determines a number of valid PDCCH candidates associated with at least one search space based on a number of designated search spaces associated with the WTRU in the slot, a type of the search space, a priority associated with the search space, a number of required CCE channel estimates associated with the search space, a maximum number of PDCCH candidates in a slot, and a number of control resource sets (CORESETs) associated with the slot. The WTRU may then attempt to decode CCEs in the at least one search space to recover a PDCCH associated with the WTRU. The WTRU may drop PDCCH candidates from the search space when the number of PDCCH exceeds a maximum value.

  • Patent number: 12349108
Abstract: A WTRU apparatus and method for operation thereby are provided. The method may comprise receiving, from a network, a mapping rule which indicates HARQ feedback characteristics to employ for a QoS level and a channel load. The WTRU may determine a QoS level of data buffered for transmission and may further determine a channel load of a channel. Based on the QoS level and channel load, HARQ feedback characteristics may be determined. The WTRU may then transmit an SCI to another WTRU which indicates the HARQ feedback characteristics. In an embodiment, the mapping rule may indicate that a HARQ feedback format is to be used for HARQ feedback of the data. The data may be transmitted and HARQ feedback of the data may be received in accordance with the HARQ feedback format. Groupcast data may be transmitted to a plurality of WTRUs and feedback my be received.

  • Publication number: 20250203653
Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive downlink control information (DCI) scheduling a sidelink (SL) grant that indicates a time window to initiate a channel occupancy time (COT). The WTRU may perform listen-before-talk (LBT) to access an SL unlicensed channel in an unlicensed band within the indicated time window to initiate the COT. After a successful channel access outcome of the performed LBT, the WTRU may transmit uplink control information (UCI) to a base station. The UCI may indicate the successful channel access outcome and a COT starting time within the indicated time window to initiate the COT. Also, the UCI may further indicate an intended number of transmissions by the WTRU in the COT. Moreover, the UCI may further indicate reserved sub-channels, reserved interlaces, or both, within the COT. Additionally, based on a buffer status and the COT starting time, the WTRU may determine whether to share the COT.

  • Publication number: 20250158655
Abstract: Channel access in unlicensed spectrum may be a function of the type of physical channel and/or a procedure that initiated a transmission. An LBT procedure may be performed as a function of beam management. A WTRU may access a channel using multiple channel access methods associated with multiple uplink transmissions based on a determination of persistent interference associated with the channel. Channel access methods may be performed with different parameters or characteristics based on the resource type/timing of the transmission/measurements of DL/UL RS. Channel access methods may be characterized by a sensing duration, an ED threshold, a beam width, and/or a beam direction. Different ED thresholds may be applied as a function of one or more characteristics of an applicable beam. Multiple sensing methods and/or related parameters may be applied as a function of the type of physical channel and/or the type of procedure associated with a transmission.
