  • Patent number: 6681753
Abstract: An arrow rest comprises an arrow rest support arm pivotally mounted to the riser of a bow. The support arm is coupled to a cable guide of the bow through linkage that causes the support arm to rise relative to the riser of the bow as the cable is drawn to launch an arrow. As the cable is released to launch an arrow, the arrow rest drops to allow the fletching to pass the arrow rest without contact. In addition, as the arrow rest moves from a first resting position to a second pre-launch position and back again, a clamping mechanism grasps the shaft of the arrow when the support arm is in the resting position. As the support arm moves to the pre-launch position, the clamping mechanism releases the shaft of the arrow so that the arrow can be freely launched from the support arm without interference from the clamping mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20040006879
Abstract: A bow sight is comprised of at least two support structures, each support structure supporting a vertically oriented sight pin. Each support structure is adjustably attached to a mounting member that allows individual vertical adjustment of each support structure. The sight pins may be vertically aligned in an overlying manner to visually provide a single sight pin with multiple sight tips or horizontally aligned but vertically spaced to provide individually vertically adjustable sight tips.

  • Patent number: 6560884
Abstract: A fixed pin bow sight is comprised of a bow sight having an attachment portion, a sight pin mounting portion and a sight pin having a plurality of sight tips on said sight pin. Each of the sight tips are predisposed on the sight pin and spaced to provide accurate targeting of an arrow shot from a bow having a particular shooting speed. The spacing between sight tips is defined by the desired targeting distances from the bow. For example, the uppermost sight tip may be configured for a target that is twenty yards away with subsequent sight tips provided for ten yard increments (e.g., 30, 40, 50 and 60 yards). The sight tips are configured to be vertically aligned relative to the ground when firing the bow so that as the distance from target is increased the appropriate sight tip moves from top to bottom of the sight pin.

  • Patent number: 6561174
Abstract: An arrow rest for an archery bow includes a mounting bracket for mounting to the riser of a bow, a shaft rotatably attached to the mounting bracket, a pair of arms configured for supporting the shaft of an arrow attached to the shaft, and a support member attached to said shaft for rotation therewith. A first magnet is attached to the mounting bracket and as second magnet is attached to the support member. The magnets are oriented to be attracted to one another to form a magnetic spring between the mounting bracket and the support member. The magnet spring holds the pair of arms in a first position for launching of an arrow from the bow but allow pivotal rotation of the arms upon launching of the arrow so that the arrow rest creates minimal drag on the shaft of the shaft of the arrow.

  • Patent number: 6000141
Abstract: An archery sight for a bow comprises an integral pin plate, pin guard and windage adjustment structure. In a preferred embodiment, the pin plate is configured to maintain the sight pins in substantially parallel arrangement relative to one another. In another preferred embodiment, the pin plate defines a plurality of elongate apertures, each for securing a sight pin to the pin plate. Accordingly, the sight pins can pivot relative to the pin plate allowing for closer arrangement of the tips of the sight pins than would otherwise be allowable if the pins were maintained in a parallel relationship. In yet another preferred embodiment, the archery sight is comprised of an integrated pin plate, pin guard, and adjustable windage mechanism. In still another preferred embodiment, the archery sight comprises at least one two-headed sight pin preferably having sight heads of different widths.
