Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are methods, systems and machine readable medium for recommending an out-of-network communication by determining a set of potential recommended members of a social networking service based upon one or more recommendation criteria. In some examples the recommendation criteria may include: a profile similarity to a previous target of an out-of-network communication, a degree of correspondence between an interest and intent of the sending member, and a likelihood of response.

Abstract: Techniques for identifying and presenting member profiles similar to a source member profile are described. With some embodiments, a general recommendation engine is used to extract features from member profiles, and then store the extracted features, including any computed, derived or retrieved profile features, in an enhanced member profile. In real-time, the general recommendation engine processes client requests to identify member profiles similar to a source member profile by comparing select profile features stored in the enhanced member profile with corresponding profile features of the source member profile, where the comparison results in several similarity sub-scores that are then combined in accordance with directives set forth in a configuration file. Finally, the member profiles with the highest similarity scores corresponding with the user-selected member profile are selected, and in some instances, presented to a user.

Abstract: Various systems, methods and apparatuses for coordinating the sharing of cache data between cluster nodes operating on the same data objects. One embodiment involves a first node in a cluster receiving a request for a data object, querying a global lock manager to determine if a second node in the cluster is the lock owner of the data object, receiving an indication identifying the second node as the lock owner and indicating that the data object is available in the second node's local cache, requesting the data object from the second node, and then receiving the data object from the second node's local cache. Other embodiments include determining whether the lock is a shared lock or an exclusive lock, and either pulling the data object from the local node of the second cache or receiving the data object that is pushed from the second node, as appropriate.

This may be true regardless of whether a primary description of the entity includes the overrepresented token. Accordingly, the entity description machine may access multiple descriptions of multiple users associated with the target entity. A portion of the multiple descriptions may each include a token descriptive of the target entity and of a subset of the multiple users. The entity description machine may determine that the token is overrepresented among the tokens within the multiple descriptions and generate a supplemental description of the target entity, where the supplemental description includes the overrepresented token. Once the supplemental description is generated, the entity description machine may use the supplemental description in referencing the target entity.

Abstract: A system stores information of various electrical components and includes a computing resource. The resource receives design requirements indicative of a desired power supply design (e.g., an input voltage, an output voltage, an output current, and a value indicative of maximum output voltage ripple). The resource determines electrical components that comply with the input voltage, output voltage, and output current and then generate power supply designs that satisfy the input voltage, output voltage, and output current. For each power supply design, the resource calculates an output capacitor and an inductor. The capacitor is selected by adjusting the capacitor's ESR. A post ripple filter circuit may be added. Inductor ripple may be reduced by sizing the inductor for a target ripple. The provides the power supply designs in a ranked order.

Abstract: Novel methods of making laminated, microchannel devices are described. Examples include: assembly from thin strips rather than sheets; and hot isostatic pressing (HIPing) to form devices with a hermetically sealed wall. Laminated microchannel articles having novel features are also described. The invention includes processes conducted using any of the articles described.

Abstract: Embodiments of a method for detection of plurality of three-dimensional cephalometric landmarks in volumetric data are disclosed. In some embodiments, a three-dimensional matrix is developed by stacking of volumetric data and the bony structure is segmented through thresholding. Initially a seed point is searched for initializing the process of landmark detection. Two three-dimensional distance vectors are used to define and obtain the Volume of Interest (VOI). First 3-D distance vector helps to identify Empirical Point and consecutively second gives dimensions of the VOI. Three-dimensional contours of anatomical structure are traced in the estimated VOI. Cephalometric landmarks are identified on the boundaries of traced anatomical geometry, based on corresponding Mathematical Entities. Detected landmark can be used as a Reference Point for further detection of landmarks. Estimating the VOI and detection of points continues till all desired landmarks are detected.

In one embodiment, a flight deck instrument display system for an aircraft comprises: a flight plan display screen that displays a graphical representation of at least a part of an aircraft's planned flight path together with symbology representing a position of the aircraft with respect to the aircraft's planned flight path; wherein the flight plan display screen further displays at least one symbol positioned along the graphical representation of at least a part of the aircraft's planned flight path that indicates a point of applicability for a received uplink datalink message.

The social networking system receives a request to rank a plurality of members of a social networking system based on the influence held by each of the plurality of members. For a respective member in the plurality of members of the social networking system, the social networking system analyzes member interactions of the respective member on the social networking system and generates an influencer score for the respective member based on the analysis of member interactions through the social networking system. The social networking system orders two or more members in the plurality of members of the social networking system based on the influencer scores associated with the two or more members.

Abstract: Provided is a communication method of a node, including receiving a first interest requesting content from a previous node in a content centric network (CCN), generating a first acknowledgment (ACK) message indicating reception of the first interest in response to receiving the first interest, and sending the first ACK message to the previous node. Provided also is a node that includes structure that is suitable to perform such a communication method.

Abstract: A method and system for providing lead recommendations are disclosed. A server system stores profile information for a plurality of members of a server system. The server system then analyzes the stored profile information to identify one or more potential sales lead recommendations for a first member of the server system. The server system then ranks the one or more identified potential sales lead recommendations. The server system selects one or more of the identified sales lead recommendations and transmits the selected one or more identified sales lead recommendations to a client device associated with the first member of the server system.

Abstract: A method and system for providing account recommendations is disclosed. A server system stores sales data for a first member, wherein sales data includes profile information for one or more individual customers. The sewer system analyzes the profile information for one or more of the individual customers to identify one attributes associated with the customers. The server system determines one or more additional members with member profiles that include the one or more identified attributes. For a respective additional member in the at least one of the determined additional members the sewer system determines, based on stored information about the respective additional member, an respective organization associated with the at least one determined additional member; and selects the respective organization as an account recommendation.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a request to onboard a first user to a sales tool is received. Then usage information related to the first user is retrieved from a social networking service. One or more entities may then be generated in the sales tool based on the usage information from the social networking service. A score can be calculated for each of the one or more entities, the score indicating a likelihood that the first user will wish to receive insights regarding the one or more entities from the sales tool. Then the one or more entities are ranked based on the calculated score for each of the one or more entities. The one or more entities can be added as entries in the sales tool based on the ranking.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, information about one or more Customer Relationship Management (CRM) entities is received from a CRM system, the information including an identification of each of the one or more CRM entities and usage information about how a user interacted with each of the one or more CRM entities. Then, at a software tool distinct from the CRM system, one or more actionable insights related to the one or more CRM entities are identified. The relevance of the one or more actionable insights to the user is then determined based on the usage information. One or more of the one or more actionable insights are then presented to the user based on the determined relevance via the software tool.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, contact information pertaining to a contact related to a first user in a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is obtained. Then a similarity matching process on one or more fields in the contact information and corresponding one or more fields in information obtained from a social network service to locate a match between the contact and a social network profile in the social network service. The mapping for the match is stored in a data store. The mappings are used provide insights to the first user.
