  • Patent number: 9977647
Abstract: A first playback device plays first audio content in synchrony with at least one second playback device. One or more commands is received that define a duration of time. The first playback device stops playback of the first audio content based on the received one or more commands. After stopping playback of the first audio content, second audio content is played for the duration of time defined by the one or more commands. After playing the second audio content for the duration of time, the first playback device resumes playback of the first audio content in synchrony with the at least one second playback device.

  • Publication number: 20180115547
Abstract: Systems and methods for edge protection for internal identity providers are provided. A first claimed embodiment of the present disclosure involves a method for edge protection for internal identity providers. The method includes receiving a service authentication request at a virtual private networking (VPN) appliance on an edge of a secure network. A client device external to the secure network can send the service authentication request. The VPN appliance can then send a synthetic service authentication request to an identity provider in the secure network. This synthetic service authentication request can be based on the service authentication request. The VPN can then receive an authenticated credential from the identity provider. The authenticated credential is responsive to the synthetic service authentication request. The VPN appliance can then send the authenticated credential from the VPN appliance to the client device.

Abstract: Embodiments provided herein involve connected states between a mobile device and one or more zones in a network media system and different interactions between the mobile device and the network media system involving the connected states. The connected states may be established between the mobile device and the one or more zones such that further actions taken on media items identified in the playlist on the mobile device may also be taken on corresponding media items in a playback queue associated with the one or more zones. The interface on the mobile device may display various graphical representations to indicate the different interactions involving the connected states, including when a connected state is established, when a connected state is lost, and when a reconnected state is reestablished. The interface may further provide selectable icons to allow a user to navigate among the different media playback options involving the connected states.

  • Publication number: 20180069931
Abstract: An endpoint system provides a REST endpoint for an application. The endpoint system processes request messages based on message pair data for each message that includes an operation and parameter data. The parameter data includes parameter information for each parameter that identifies whether the value for the parameter is to be taken from the URI or payload of a request message. The endpoint system receives request messages that have a URI and payload. The URI includes an operation name. The endpoint system processes each request message in accordance with the message pair data for the operation specified in the request message. For each parameter of the message pair data, the endpoint system extracts the value for the parameter from the URI, payload, headers, or query parameters as specified by the parameter information. The endpoint system invokes the operation passing the one or more extracted values as actual parameters.

  • Patent number: 9898246
Abstract: Method and systems are provided for displaying playback zone representations in a controller interface for a media playback system. An example implementation involves a computing device receiving a command to display representations of playback zones in a media playback system. After receiving the command, the computing system determines that (i) each zone of a first subset of playback zones is associated with media content and (ii) each zone of a second subset of playback zones is not associated with media content. In response to determining that each zone of the first subset of playback zones is associated with media content, the computing system displays an expanded format representation of each playback zone in the first subset and in response to determining that each zone of the second subset of playback zones is not associated with media content, displays a collapsed format representation of each playback zone in the second subset.

  • Patent number: 9882921
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for detecting cache-poisoning attacks in networks using SDPs may include maintaining a cache of service information that identifies services provided by client devices connected to a network using an SDP. The method may also include detecting a cache-poisoning attack by (1) receiving, from a client device connected to the network, an SDP message related to a service allegedly provided via the network, (2) identifying, within the SDP message, an attribute of the service allegedly provided via the network, and then (3) determining that the client device is attempting to corrupt the cache of service information by determining that the identified attribute of the service suggests that the service is illegitimate. Finally, the method may include performing a security action to mitigate the cache-poisoning attack in response to detecting the cache-poisoning attack. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.
