  • Publication number: 20190155948
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, re-ranking resources for categorical queries. In one aspect, a method includes receiving queries, and for each received query: receiving data indicating resources identified by a search operation as being responsive to the query and ranked according to a first order, each resource having corresponding search score by which the resources are ranked in responsiveness to the query and determining whether a proper subset meets a quality condition based on a quality measure that is indicative of the quality of the resources in the proper subset and independent of search scores of the resources for received query. For each query for which the proper subset meets the quality condition, determining a quality score for each resource in the proper subset and re-ranking the resources in the proper subset according to their respective quality scores.

  • Patent number: 10298534
Abstract: A social networking system user may associate a graphical element representing the user's emotional reaction with a content item presented by the social networking system. The user is presented with one or more graphical elements maintained by the social networking system and selects a graphical element for associating with the content item. If certain graphical elements are selected, the social networking system prompts the user for compensation or requests compensation from an entity associated with the selected graphical element. The selected graphical element is associated with the content item and a connection, or other information, between the user and the object identifying the selected graphical element is stored by the social networking system. The selected graphical element may be displayed with the content item to the user and to other users connected to the user.

  • Patent number: 10298299
Abstract: A multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless transceiver with “N” transmit and receive chains and a bandwidth evaluation circuit, a chain partitioning circuit and a switchable radio frequency ‘RF’ filter bank. The bandwidth evaluation circuit evaluates both the utilization of the WLAN(s) and any remaining communications channels and determines whether to operate the MIMO chains synchronously as a single radio or asynchronously as multiple radios. The chain partitioning circuit either partitions subsets of the MIMO chains for asynchronous operation as distinct radios or combines all MIMO chains for synchronous operation as a single radio. The switchable RF filter bank is responsive to a partitioning of subsets of the chains into distinct radios to add RF filters to a RF portion of the chains to isolate each radio from one another, and responsive to a combining of all MIMO chains into a single radio to remove all RF filters.

  • Patent number: 10299276
Abstract: Example implementations relate to network deployment of devices. For example, a non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions executable by a processing resource can determine a plurality of deployment thresholds of a plurality of devices, wherein the plurality of deployment thresholds are associated with a type of the plurality of devices. The instructions can cause the processing resource to monitor deployment data associated with the plurality of devices to identify a device with a deployment outlier. The device with the deployment outlier is a device with deployment data that is outside a deployment threshold of the device. The instructions can cause the processing resource to adjust the deployment threshold of the device based on the monitoring.

  • Patent number: 10295982
Abstract: A method of detecting and tracking changes in engineering configuration data (ECD) for control and instrumentation (C&I) systems an industrial facility. First ECD in a first data format used in a first C&I system and second ECD in a second data format used in a second C&I system are converted into a common format. The first and second ECD are stored together as reference snapshot data with a timestamp in a single information source. At a second time, after the first time reflected in the timestamp, the first and second ECD are obtained. The first ECD and the second ECD obtained at the second time are converted into the common format that collectively provides updated snapshot data. Changes are detected between the first ECD and the second ECD by comparing the reference snapshot data to the updated snapshot data.
