  • Publication number: 20190261599
Abstract: Systems and techniques are described for pet monitoring during unattended delivery. In some implementations, a monitoring system monitors a property includes sensors located throughout the property and generates sensor data. A monitor control unit receives a first indication that a resident of the property will be receiving a delivery during a delivery time. Based on the sensor data and during the delivery time, the monitor control unit determines that a pet, that resides at the property, has been restrained. The monitor control unit provides, to a delivery person, a second indication that the pet at the property has been restrained.

  • Patent number: 10347063
Abstract: A method includes, receiving a biometric identifier from a visitor to the property, determining an arrival time of the visitor based on receiving the biometric identifier, comparing the arrival time of the visitor to an expected arrival time of an expected visitor, based on comparing the arrival time of the visitor to an expected arrival time, transmitting the biometric identifier and data identifying the expected visitor, receiving, by the monitoring system and from the external server, (i) data indicating that the biometric identifier corresponds to the expected visitor and (ii) data indicating that an electronic device of the expected visitor is located at the property, and based on (i) the data indicating that the biometric identifier corresponds to the expected visitor and (ii) the data indicating that the electronic device of the expected visitor is located at the property, granting, by the monitoring system, the visitor access to the property.

  • Publication number: 20190180603
Abstract: Techniques are described for detecting and handling unauthenticated commands in a property monitoring system. In some implementations, a monitoring system may include sensors located throughout a property, a monitoring control unit, and an input device. The monitoring control unit may be configured to receive data collected by the sensors, as well as an input command detected by the input device. For an input command that does not include authentication information, the monitoring control unit may generate property state information based on the sensor data, then analyze the property state data and the input command against one or more rules that relate to authorization of unauthenticated commands. Based on the analysis, the monitoring control unit may determine whether to perform the action corresponding to the input command or whether to perform another action, for example, generating and providing a notification or authorization request to a user.

  • Patent number: 10282927
Abstract: Method, systems, devices, and techniques for access control provisioning are described. A monitoring system configured to monitor a property includes an access control device that is configured to receive an access control request and provide access to a portion of the property in response to the request. The system also includes a control unit or board that is configured to transmit, through a particular relay out of multiple relays, the access control request. The control unit further receives data indicating that the access control device received the access control request and determines that the particular relay corresponds to the access control device.

  • Patent number: 10249069
Abstract: Techniques are described for presenting events detected by a monitoring system. A system receives a selection of a particular time period, identifies security events detected by a monitoring system during the selected time period, and classifies a subset of the identified security events as abnormal events. The system further generates a density of the identified security events over the selected time period, generates a density of the subset of the identified security events classified as abnormal events, and identifies monitoring system data associated with the selected time period. The system additionally generates a graphical representation of the density of the identified security events, the density of the subset of the identified security events classified as abnormal events, and the identified monitoring system data, and provides the graphical representation for display.

  • Patent number: 10096231
Abstract: An electronic system is described that receives data collected by a monitoring system, where the monitoring system includes a notification device that is tunable between different states that discreetly convey contextual alerts based on prior association of the states with contextual alerts. The system analyzes the monitoring system data against one or more event profiles that define events relating to the property or one or more users of the property. Based on the analysis of the monitoring system data, a particular event is identified. Information that specifies contextual alerts to be provided by the monitoring system that each correspond to an event defined by the one or more event profiles is accessed. A particular contextual alert that corresponds to the particular event is identified. The system causes output of the particular contextual alert at the notification device included in the monitoring system by changing a state of the notification device.

  • Publication number: 20180285653
Abstract: Systems and techniques are described for supervising and monitoring the delivery of a package to a property. In some implementations, shipment data indicating a package to be delivered at the property and identification information for a first person is obtained. A request for a second person to access the property and deliver the package that includes identification information for the second person is received. Identification information for the first person is compared to the identification information for the second person. Access to the property is provided to the second person. Sensor data generated by one or more sensors that are located throughout the property and while providing access to the property is obtained and analyzed. A determination of whether the second person delivered the package to the property is made based on analyzing the sensor data. Data indicating the determination is provided for output.

  • Patent number: 9989397
Abstract: In some implementations, a system obtains activity data for a sump pump associated with a property where the obtained activity data indicates a present operational status of the sump pump. The system obtains water level data associated with the property where the water level data indicates a level of water within the property, determines that the activity data indicates that the sump pump is operating and that the water level within the property satisfies a water level risk threshold, and, in response to the determination that the activity data indicates that the sump pump is operating and that the water level within the property satisfies a water level risk threshold, provides a notification that the property is at risk of suffering water damage.
