  • Patent number: 11829435
Abstract: Secure digital assistant integration with web pages is provided. The system receives an intent manifest data structure that maps actions of a digital assistant with link templates of an electronic resource developed by a third-party developer device. The system validates the electronic resource based on the intent manifest data structure. The system receives, from a data exchange component of an iframe of the electronic resource loaded by a client computing device, an identifier of the client computing device. The system receives a foreground state of the electronic resource from an onsite state sharing API. The system selects a data value for a parameter based on the foreground state and the intent manifest data structure. The system provides the data value. An authorization component generates an authorization prompt, receives input, and transmits the data value to an onsite intent execution API of the electronic resource to execute an action.

  • Publication number: 20230325217
Abstract: Interface and mode selection for digital action execution is provided. For example, a system loads a script library embedded in an electronic resource. The system determines a historic level of engagement between a client computing device and one or more digital assistants. The system selects, based on a first property of the client computing device and the historic level of engagement, a type of digital interface. The system generates, based on the type of digital interface, a digital interface with the call-to-action. The system determines, responsive to an instruction to execute the call-to-action, a mode of execution. The system selects a digital assistant and a second client device to execute the call-to-action. The system transmits the call-to-action to the second client device for execution.

  • Patent number: 11781522
Abstract: A rotor blade assembly of a wind turbine includes a rotor blade having an aerodynamic body with an inboard region and an outboard region. The inboard and outboard regions define a pressure side, a suction side, a leading edge, and a trailing edge. The inboard region includes a blade root, whereas the outboard region includes a blade tip. The rotor blade also defines a chord and a span. Further, the inboard region includes a transitional region of the rotor blade that includes a maximum chord. Moreover, a unitless first derivative of the chord with respect to the span of the rotor blade in the transitional region ranges from about ?0.10 to about 0.10 from the maximum chord over about 15% of the span of the rotor blade. In addition, the unitless first derivative of the chord with respect to the span a slope of a change in the chord in is greater than about ?0.03 at an inflection point of the chord in the outboard region.

  • Publication number: 20230076133
Abstract: A decorative layer removal tool for flooring is configured with a removal shaft and either a drill attachment or handle to remove the decorative layer from a plank. The removal shaft includes a threaded end to attach to either the handle or drill attachment. The handle can be used when the user wishes to manually rotate the shaft and remove the decorative layer; the drill attachment can be used with a power drill for a motorized removal. The removal shaft includes a slit that extends from an unthreaded end to the threaded side. In typical implementations, the slit may not extend to the shaft's threads. At least a portion of the slit is used to receive the decorative surface layer from a plank, thereby enabling the decorative layer's removal.

  • Publication number: 20210127769
Abstract: A thermoelectric cooler (TEC) headband operable to fit around a user's head. The TEC headband includes a pair of TEC devices spaced apart a predetermined distance. The predetermined distance is sized to position the TEC devices on either side of a forehead of the user. Each TEC device includes a cooling plate and a heating plate. The TEC devices are operable, via a Peltier effect, to conduct heat from the cooling plate to the heating plate when a current is conducted therethrough. A pair of heat sinks are positioned in thermal contact with the heating plate of each TEC device. Each heat sink is operable to conduct heat away from its associated heating plate. A housing is operable to contain the pair of TEC devices and pair of heat sinks. The TEC headband is operable to cool the user's forehead when placed thereon.

  • Publication number: 20210103807
Abstract: Methods for performing inference on a generative model are provided. In one aspect, a method includes receiving a generative model in a probabilistic program form defining variables and probabilistic relationships between variables, and producing a neural network to model the behaviour of the generative model. The input layer includes nodes corresponding to the variables of the generative model, and the output layer includes nodes corresponding to a parameter of the conditional marginal of the variables of the input layer. The method also includes training the neural network using samples from the probabilistic program. A loss function is provided for each node of the output layer. The loss function for each output node is independent of the loss functions for the other nodes of the output layer. The method also includes performing amortised inference on the generative model. Systems and machine-readable media are also provided.

  • Patent number: 10941622
Abstract: A technique facilitates drilling operations by combining a conductor with a conductor sharing offset shoe system. The conductor sharing offset shoe system protects against collision of boreholes by properly positioning and/or orienting a drill string during drilling of boreholes through the conductor. The conductor sharing offset shoe system may comprise a bullnose disposed at a lower end of the shoe system and an upper guide member disposed at an upper end of the shoe system with a guide opening sized to receive the drill string therethrough. A guide tubing extends from the guide opening into the bullnose to guide the drill string during drilling of a borehole. The guide tubing is sized to preserve sufficient space for accommodating movement of the drill string through the conductor sharing offset shoe system externally of the guide tubing during drilling of another borehole.

  • Patent number: 10408972
Abstract: This document presents a system and method for gathering weather data and utilizing that weather data to calculation the upper and lower limits of the lightning formation range within a thunderstorm or storm system. The calculation may provide a probability for the beginning of lightning formation and lightning strikes for a geographic area for a given time period in sufficient time to permit alerts of lightning activity to be formulated and sent to users of the system. Equally, the system may calculate the probability of the cessation of lightning activity for a given geographic area at a specific time. The probability of both beginning and cessation of lightning activity may be provided at greater than 99% confidence.

  • Patent number: 10073951
Abstract: A medication analysis system maintains a database of medication profiles for users of medications, each medication profile being associated with a person and includes demographic information about the person and user experience information describing the person's experiences with one or more medications. An input from a user is received that requests information about a medication for a desired demographic. A cluster of medication profiles is identified from the database of medication profiles that include user experience information describing peoples' experiences with the medication. One or more satisfaction metrics are determined for the medication using user experience information in the identified set of medication profiles.
