Publication number: 20240095680Abstract: A method of implementing administrative services for a compensation platform is disclosed. One or more interactive compensation representation views are generated based on an evaluation of mapping rules against a flexible ontology and current data state, the flexible ontology comprising customizable compensation components, relationships, and properties. One or more compensation representation views are dynamically updated in real-time in response to changes in compensation data, user context, or access permissions without requiring manual regeneration of the one or more compensation representations. The one or more interactive compensation representation views include a user interface element displayed in response to a user selection of compensation data, wherein the user interface element provides direct access to compensation information relevant to the selected compensation data without requiring a change to another screen or another user context.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 21, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Inventors: Jenna Nicole Soojin Lee, Ian William Richard, Laura Elizabeth Pearson, Christian Nguyen, Tovin Thomas, Adam Carter, David Achee, David Christopher Sally, Miranda Howitt, Vincent Yao, Seth Goldenberg, Aimee Jin Peng, William Qingdong Yan, Rahul Rangnekar, Matthew Stephen Wysocki, Michael Ryan Shohoney, Tyler Kowalewski, Ami Tushar Bhatt, Jeffrey Ryan Gurr, Cap Watkins, Ryan Maas, Asha Camper Singh, Leonardo Faria, Elliot Piersa Dahl, Nina Ojeil

Publication number: 20240095645Abstract: A method of generating customizable goal representation is disclosed. A request from a user to view a goal representation is received. A flexible goal ontology is accessed that comprises one or more goal entities, one or more goal relationships between the goal entities, or one or more goal properties, the one or more goal properties including one or more metadata attributes relating to the one or more goal entities. A set of mapping rules is obtained that defines mappings between one or more goals. The set of mapping rules is evaluated to assemble a customized goal representation tailored to the user. The customized goal representation is updated based on a revaluation of the mapping rules affected by changes to the one or more goal entities, the one or more goal relationships, or the one or more properties.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 21, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Inventors: Sven Martin Andreas Elfgren, Friedrich I. Patent number: 11874807Abstract: A cloud-native global file system is augmented to include a file exporter (or, more generally, a file export tool) that facilitates an enterprise customer's use of a cloud-native tool that would otherwise be unable to operate against the global file system's underlying file system representation. In a typical use case, the file exporter is configured to extract in a native object format and to an unencrypted target (e.g., an S3 bucket, an Azure storage account, and the like) all or a portion of a volume's data from the underlying file system representation. In this manner, the exporter creates a copy of the data set that the enterprise user can then leverage against the desired cloud-native tool or other cloud services that are not under the management or control of the global file system service provider.Type: GrantFiled: October 10, 2022Date of Patent: January 16, 2024Assignee: Nasuni CorporationInventors: Russell Andrew Neufeld, Max Picard Perry, John Adam Carter

Patent number: 11819161Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a kamado-style grill and smoker having one or more air-intake openings and one or more exhaust openings. Like conventional kamado-style grills and smokers, a user may manually adjust the air-intake opening(s) and/or exhaust opening(s) to manually control the air flow, and thus the temperature, within the cooking chamber. However, unlike the prior art, the kamado-style grill and smoker includes an integrated fan unit that provides a completely different and alternative air-intake pathway for drawing air into the cooking chamber and controlling the cooking or smoking temperature using a fan. By providing this alternative mechanism for controlling the temperature in the cooking chamber, the kamado-style grill and smoker disclosed herein can be operated using either manual or automated temperature control, making it accessible to both novice and experienced users alike.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 2022Date of Patent: November 21, 2023Assignee: Premier Specialty Brands LLCInventors: Adam Carter, Donald Stephen Gazdick, III, Joseph Pruitt, Daniel Mercer, Kyle Aasness

Publication number: 20230231766Abstract: A technique is configured to utilize messages (e.g., frames) generated by a first layer of a protocol stack for a wireless network to configure network parameters associated with a second layer of the protocol stack for a wired network. The messages are illustratively beacon frames generated by a data link layer of a Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) stack for a wireless network, and the network parameters are illustratively IP addresses associated with a network layer of the TCP/IP stack for a wired network. Notably, the beacon frames of the wireless network may be utilized for two-way communication exchange on a per node basis for each node in the wired network.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 20, 2023Publication date: July 20, 2023Applicant: NetApp, Inc.Inventors: John Allen Patterson, Derek J. Patent number: 11172688Abstract: A gravity fed smoker includes a smoking enclosure and an external stack. The stack is double walled with an inner wall, and an outer wall. A vented cooling space exists between the inner wall and the outer wall. An inner chamber of the external stack includes a fire box with a fire grate and a feed hopper positioned above the fire box. A smoke tunnel with a series of openings for releasing smoke into the smoking enclosure extends along the bottom of the food smoking enclosure and is connected to the external fire box at one end. Fuel, including charcoal, lump coal, or wood pellets, is loaded into the feed hopper. As the fuel burns on the fire grate and turns to ashes, the fuel is fed from the hopper onto the fire grate by gravity. A fan and dampers controls air flow through the fire grate and into the smoke tunnel.Type: GrantFiled: May 5, 2021Date of Patent: November 16, 2021Assignee: Masterbuilt Manufacturing, LLCInventors: Olin Powell, Adam Carter, Robert V.
