Publication number: 20210251248Abstract: A gravity fed smoker includes a smoking enclosure and an external stack. The stack is double walled with an inner wall, and an outer wall. A vented cooling space exists between the inner wall and the outer wall. An inner chamber of the external stack includes a fire box with a fire grate and a feed hopper positioned above the fire box. A smoke tunnel with a series of openings for releasing smoke into the smoking enclosure extends along the bottom of the food smoking enclosure and is connected to the external fire box at one end. Fuel, including charcoal, lump coal, or wood pellets, is loaded into the feed hopper. As the fuel burns on the fire grate and turns to ashes, the fuel is fed from the hopper onto the fire grate by gravity. A fan and dampers controls air flow through the fire grate and into the smoke tunnel.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 5, 2021Publication date: August 19, 2021Applicant: Masterbuilt Manufacturing, LLCInventors: Olin Powell, Adam Carter, Robert V. Patent number: 11032143Abstract: A technique is configured to utilize frames generated by a first layer of a protocol stack for a first network to configure network parameters associated with a second layer of the protocol stack for a second network. The frames are illustratively beacon frames generated by a data link layer of a Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) stack for a wireless network, and the network parameters are illustratively IP addresses associated with a network layer of the TCP/IP stack for a wired network. Notably, the beacon frames of the wireless network may be utilized for two-way communication exchange on a per node basis for each node in the wired network.Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 2019Date of Patent: June 8, 2021Assignee: NetApp, Inc.Inventors: John Allen Patterson, Derek J. Publication number: 20210129311Abstract: A universal chisel attachment is an apparatus. A power tool, specifically an automatic drill, is converted to an automatic chiseler with the apparatus. The apparatus includes a socket adapter, a tubular housing, a chisel assembly, and a reciprocating mechanism. The socket adapter connects the apparatus to a power tool. The chisel assembly includes a chisel adapter and at least one chisel body. The tubular housing contains the connection between the socket adapter and the chisel adapter. The tubular housing also houses the reciprocating mechanism. The chisel adapter connects the at least one chisel body with the socket adapter. The at least one chisel body is the sharpened member of the apparatus that converts a power tool into an automatic chiseler. The hammering cam mechanism is used to convert rotational motion by socket adapter into back-and-forth linear motion by the chisel adapter.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 30, 2020Publication date: May 6, 2021Inventors: Adam Carter, Dave Hawks

Patent number: 10478016Abstract: A gas-fired smoker constitutes a cabinet for holding food products to be cooked. A gas burner in the cabinet is connected to a source of flammable gas by means of a valve. The gas burner heats the cabinet and thereby cooks the food products. In one embodiment a pilot light ignites the flammable gas at the gas burner. A control circuit powered by a DC source controls the operation of the gas-fired smoker including igniting and extinguishing the gas burner in order to maintain a cooking temperature in the cabinet. A battery powers the control system. In another embodiment a rechargeable battery is recharged by a Seebeck thermal electric generator that is exposed to the heat from the gas burner.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 2016Date of Patent: November 19, 2019Assignee: Masterbuilt Manufacturing, Inc.Inventors: John D McLemore, Joseph L Turner, Adam Carter, Robert Terrell, Daniel Mercer

Patent number: 10021887Abstract: A stand-alone gas-fired smoker constitutes a cabinet for holding food products to be cooked. A gas burner in the bottom of the cabinet is connected to a source of flammable gas by means of a variable gas valve. The gas burner heats the cabinet and thereby cooks the food products. An oil filled temperature sensing bulb is connected by means of a capillary tube to the variable gas valve in order to modulate the gas delivered through the variable gas valve to the gas burner and thereby modulate the temperature within the cabinet. A safety/ignition valve is connected between of the gas source and the variable gas valve. The safety/ignition valve is connected to a flame sensor, and the safety/ignition valve closes if the flame sensor senses that the gas burner has been extinguished.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 2016Date of Patent: July 17, 2018Assignee: Masterbuilt Manufacturing, LLCInventors: John D. Publication number: 20140314538Abstract: A support arm for a medical device includes a column and a boom rotatably coupled to the column for rotation relative to a first axis. An arm is coupled to the boom for rotation relative to a second axis. A link mount is coupled to the arm and rotatable relative to the arm about a third axis. A device mount is supported by a linkage having link members arranged such that rotation of said first link member relative to the link mount about a fourth axis rotates the medical device about a fifth axis. The device mount is rotatable relative to the linkage about a sixth axis. The third, fifth and sixth axes extend through the center of mass of a medical instrument supported by the device mount.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 18, 2014Publication date: October 23, 2014Applicant: TransEnterix Surgical, Inc.Inventors: Adam Carter, Keith Phillip Laby
