  • Publication number: 20230252906
Abstract: System and methods are disclosed for rapid, accurate, real-time assessment of a group of participants. The system includes a control device that is in communication with a user device and participant devices. The method includes a user selecting information related to a topic and sending the information to participants' devices. The participants provide responses through their respective devices. The system collects the responses and determines an assessment result, which can be provided to the user.

  • Publication number: 20230196172
Abstract: A method of probabilistically canceling noise in a measurement-based quantum device includes obtaining a sequence of ideal measurements included within a quantum algorithm and selecting a sequence of noisy measurements for emulating the sequence of ideal measurements. Each of the noisy measurements in the selected sequence approximates a corresponding one of the ideal measurements and is adjusted by a quantum correction, where the noisy measurements are selected according to a carefully chosen distribution to cancel known features of noise in those same noisy measurements in the sequence.

  • Publication number: 20230179642
Abstract: A question-and-answer application with an “ask-to-answer” feature is described. The ask-to-answer feature enables any user to solicit an answer to a question from another user. Upon soliciting another user for an answer to a particular question, a message with a call to action is directed to the solicited user. The message may include a copy of the text of the question and may provide a mechanism (e.g., a selectable user interface element) enabling the solicited user to pass on answering the question. Subsequent to the solicitation, the question page for the question will include a notification with information about the solicitation, including in some instances information identifying the user who has been asked to answer the question and the number of times the user has been asked to provide an answer to the question.

  • Publication number: 20230091924
Abstract: Techniques for utilizing a depth completion algorithm to determine dense depth data are discussed are discussed herein. Two-dimensional image data representing an environment can be captured or otherwise received. Depth data representing the environment can be captured or otherwise received. The depth data can be projected into the image data and processed using the depth completion algorithm. The depth completion algorithm can be utilized to determine the dense depth values based on intensity values of pixels, and other depth values. A vehicle can be controlled based on the determined depth values.

  • Publication number: 20230041501
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for training a policy neural network. In one aspect, a method for training a policy neural network configured to receive a scene data input and to generate a policy output to be followed by a target agent comprises: maintaining a set of training data, the set of training data comprising (i) training scene inputs and (ii) respective target policy outputs; at each training iteration: generating additional training scene inputs; generating a respective target policy output for each additional training scene input using a trained expert policy neural network that has been trained to receive an expert scene data input comprising (i) data characterizing the current scene and (ii) data characterizing a future state of the target agent; updating the set of training data; and training the policy neural network on the updated set of training data.

  • Publication number: 20220237580
Abstract: A merchant uses a merchant point of sale (POS) device to identify items or services for purchase by a customer, and costs for each. One or more payment amounts are sent from the merchant POS device to a checkout server using an application programming interface (API), which the checkout server sends on to an authorized payment terminal device that then reads payment information from a payment object and sends the payment information back to the checkout server. The checkout server processes the transaction and confirms transaction completion to the merchant POS device and payment terminal device.

  • Patent number: 11374968
Abstract: Devices and techniques are generally described for fraud detection. In various examples, a first plurality of requests are received over a first time period. In at least some examples, the first plurality of requests may be requests to access a first service. A hierarchical data representation comprising an ordered set of values may be determined for each request of the first plurality of requests. A first subset of the first plurality of requests may be determined. The hierarchical data representation associated with each request of the first subset may include fewer than a threshold number of value substitutions relative to each other hierarchical data representation of the first subset of the first plurality of requests. Access to the first service may be prevented by subsequent requests associated with the first subset of the first plurality of requests.

  • Patent number: 11339917
Abstract: A pedestal is provided having a telescoping column and an integrated master/slave actuator unit for a telescoping column of a pedestal-mounted support structure such as a surgical bucket, storage container, receptacle, utility tray, work surface, seat, equipment or automotive service rack, or other platform. The telescoping column preferably is vertically extendible and retractable by an actuator unit, which preferably is manually-actuated such as by being foot-actuated and vertically extendable to raise and lower the platform. The actuator unit is operated by an actuator pedal or other drive unit through an actuator stroke, which causes the column to raise and lower through a lift stroke. The actuator stroke is smaller than the lift stroke so that a small movement, such as by downward movement of the user's foot, allows the column to rise through an extended distance, i.e. the lift stroke.

  • Publication number: 20220076235
Abstract: Application integration for contactless payments is described. In an example, a payment making platform can provide a transaction code to a payment processing platform. The transaction code can be presented at a point-of-sale of a transaction between a customer and a merchant associated with the payment processing platform. Upon detecting an interaction between the transaction code and a computing device of the customer, the payment making platform and the payment processing platform can exchange data to enable the customer to participate in the transaction via the computing device of the customer. In some examples, the payment making platform and the payment processing platform can process a contactless payment for the transaction by transferring funds associated with an account of the customer from the payment making platform to the payment processing platform for depositing into an account of the merchant.

  • Patent number: 11035224
Abstract: There are described data system (200), devices and methods for use with well infrastructure (100). For example, such well infrastructure (100) may include oil and gas well structures, pipeline structures, and the like (110, 120, 130). In particular, there are described data systems (200), etc., for using data associated with monitored conditions at such well infrastructure (100). Such data systems (200) may comprise a data-storage facility (210) having stored data records associated with particular well infrastructures (100) (e.g. productions wells). The data system (200) may have one or more remote sensor devices (150) (e.g. gauges or distributed sensors) configured to monitor conditions at particular well infrastructures (100), and to collect condition data corresponding to those conditions.
