  • Publication number: 20240134498
Abstract: Technologies are disclosed that enable a computing system to present a structured arrangement for tracking content items on a shared user interface (UI) during a communication session. The structured arrangement is a list that is displayed in a specific region of the shared UI. Inclusion of content items in the list makes it easier for users to locate and interact with those content items throughout the communication session. The ability to create and manipulate the list may be limited to only certain users such as a moderator. Use of this list can promote inclusivity and fairness. For instance, inclusion in the list may prevent content items from being forgotten or ignored. Additionally, the names of users who contributed the content items may be shown in the list thereby providing recognition for those users.

  • Patent number: 11952935
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for maintaining combustion stability in a multi-fuel engine. In one example, a system may include first and second fuel systems to deliver liquid and gaseous fuels, respectively, to at least one cylinder of the engine, and a controller. The controller may be configured to supply the gaseous fuel to the at least one cylinder, inject the liquid fuel to the at least one cylinder to compression ignite the liquid fuel and combust the gaseous fuel in the at least one cylinder, and retard an injection timing of the injection of the liquid fuel based on a measured parameter associated with auto-ignition of end gases subsequent to the compression-ignition of the liquid fuel. In some examples, the controller may further be configured to adjust an amount of the gaseous fuel relative to an amount of the liquid fuel based on the measured parameter.

  • Publication number: 20240076891
Abstract: A system for basing drones is described. A network of geographically diverse hangars provides storage and charging locations as well as backhaul communications infrastructure and video monitoring. As drones are needed, a central command point tasks an available drone, which may or may not already be located in proximity to a target. If additional drones are needed, drones can be flown to the area of interest and continuous coverage provided by charging drones while an active drone is conducting the mission, then rotating charged drones into the active mission. Structures for the hangars, the overall system, and methods of operation are described.

  • Publication number: 20240068558
Abstract: Magnetically-assisted mechanical gear systems and other power transmission systems, and related methods of operation and assembly, are disclosed herein. In an example embodiment, such a system includes a driving gear, a driven gear, and a first magnetomotive force (MMF) source that generates a magnetic flux. A first portion of the flux is communicated between at least one driving gear teeth and at least one driven gear teeth so that one or more magnetic forces are exerted between the gears. When the first rotational movement of the driving gear alternates from being in the first rotational direction to being in a third rotational direction opposite the first rotational direction, then the driven gear is driven by the one or more magnetic forces so that the second rotational movement also alternates, and a first amount of backlash movement between the driving and driven gears is avoided or reduced.

  • Patent number: 11833519
Abstract: Instrument free “plasticware” is provided that enables multi-step molecular reactions in a diagnostics context. A hollow plunger that is movable within a surrounding tube defines a reaction chamber inside the plunger. By moving the plunger to different positions in the tube, a sample can be collected, then the sample can be washed, and finally the reaction chamber can be sealed to perform diagnostic reactions on the sample. The juxtaposition of large sample collection/washing volume with small reaction volume allows one to conduct a wide range of diagnostic assays including a LAMP (Loop mediated isothermal amplification) based saliva test in a small, portable self-contained device. Applications include Molecular diagnostics for health applications (including COVID19 test), Environmental Monitoring, Disease surveillance, and Veterinary health.

  • Patent number: 10708156
Abstract: Notification of an event related to a performance degradation in a network node of a plurality of network nodes in a network is received. The notification is forwarded to a client device. Cache priming is performed based, at least in part, on a network graph that defines connectivity among at least some of the plurality of network nodes. Cache priming includes determining a set of impacted network nodes of the plurality of network nodes that is impacted by the performance degradation based on the connectivity defined by the network graph. Cache priming includes reducing the set of impacted network nodes to a subset of the impacted network nodes. Cache priming also includes retrieving from a persistent data storage device, data defining the subset of the impacted network nodes and storing the data defining the subset of the impacted network nodes in a memory.
