Abstract: A job searching and matching system and method is disclosed that gathers job seeker information in the form of job seeker parameters from one or more job seekers, gathers job information in the form of job parameters from prospective employers and/or recruiters, correlates the information with past job seeker behavior, parameters and behavior from other job seekers, and job parameters and, in response to a job seeker's query, provides matching job results based on common parameters between the job seeker and jobs along with suggested alternative jobs based on the co-relationships and based on ratings and preferences provided by the job seeker and provides negative filtration of undesirable jobs based on job seeker input and in response to queries from the system in order to efficiently and accurately accommodate job seeker perception.

Abstract: A method for tracking referrals using a third party applicant tracking system (ATS). The method include receiving a request to display a web page at a URL from a client used by a job candidate, where the URL is associated with a job at a company and the job candidate. The method further includes providing to the client a web page associated with the URL that includes a description of the job and a link to an ATS, receiving a request for a web page corresponding to the job, where the request is initiated by selection of the link. The method further includes making a determination that the ATS is a third party ATS and, in response, generating a third party referral URL, a unique identifier associated with the job, and an identifier associated with a source type, and providing the third party referral URL to the client.

Abstract: In general, the invention relates to a method for identifying a job candidate. The method includes determining new job characteristics for the new job using a job record corresponding to the new job, identifying an old job using the new job characteristics and old job characteristics, where the old job is similar to the new job and where a similarity between the old job and the new job is quantified using a job similarity factor. The method further includes selecting a job candidate, where the job candidate has applied for the old job, determining a candidate matching factor for the job candidate based on the old job, determining a rating for the job candidate using the job similarity factor and the candidate matching factor for the job candidate, and identifying the job candidate to contact about the job based on the rating.

Abstract: A method and system of data acquisition by a listing service provider is disclosed. A network address is received from a client computer that is operated by a lister. The network address can be indicative of a location of listing data on a computer network. The listing data comprises at least one information item provided by the lister. The network address received from the lister is accessed by opening a computer network connection to retrieve the listing data. The lister makes available the listing data for retrieval so that the listing data can be posted in a search bank hosted by the listing service provider. The listing data is retrieved from the network address using the computer network connection by copying the listing data onto a listing data database.

Abstract: Methods and systems of providing a job search to a jobseeker are disclosed. Based on previously stored user preferences, job listings can be presented to users. User preferences can be gathered through previous search requests, resume keywords, jobseeker applies to job listings, jobseekers viewing job listings, etc. The search request can include search criteria. As such, preference data related to the jobseeker is identified based on jobseeker online behavior. In one embodiment, a set of jobs listings having associated metadata that match the search criteria is identified. A subset of job listings that match the preference data is identified. The subset of job listings is a subset of the set of job listings. At least the subset of job listings can be provided to the jobseeker. In another embodiment, a set of job listings having associated metadata that match the search criteria and the jobseeker preferences is identified and provided to the jobseeker.

The modification rate can be calculated by dividing the number of the one or more modifications by the number of the plurality of job listings posted by the recruiter. A social network services database maintains a listing of resources of different social networks, that a user can search to determine where to find resources on other networks. The user can then query the social networks hosting those resources or their social network services for access, and the networks or services can authenticate the user before granting access according to any conditions that the hosting social networks or social network services may choose to apply.
