  • Publication number: 20230316082
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for training a machine learning model using a deterministic data pipeline. One of the methods may include receiving a first request to generate a deterministic training dataset: transforming raw training examples obtained from the raw data source into pre-processed training examples; assigning a unique index to each pre-processed training example; and caching the pre-processed training examples into the cache directory specified in the received first request; receiving a second request to use the deterministic training dataset to train a machine learning model, the second request specifying a start index; and in response to receiving the second request: reading, from the cache directory, the pre-processed training examples that have indices beginning from the start index; and providing the read training examples in an order of the assigned indices for use in training the machine learning model.

  • Patent number: 11760427
Abstract: Systems and methods that provide a deployable fairing system to a tractor trailer. The deployable fairing system includes an actuator used to extend the deployable fairing from an unextended configuration to an extended configuration to occupy a portion of a gap area that exists between a tractor and an attached trailer. The deployable fairing includes deployable upper and/or lower horizontal assemblies that are pivotally coupled to a frame attached to the tractor/cab, and two side panels that are pivotally coupled to one or both of the upper and lower horizontal assemblies. The deployable upper and lower horizontal assemblies and the two side panels fold in on one another along multiple hinged axes in the unextended configuration, and extend rearward from the top and sides of the tractor in the extended configuration to cover a portion of the gap. The fairing may advantageously flair from front to the rear.

  • Publication number: 20230271654
Abstract: A chassis-height adjustment system for selectively raising and lowering a chassis relative to a ground surface includes a plurality of support assemblies supporting a chassis on respective ground-engaging elements. Each support assembly has a height adjustment actuator. Each height position sensor senses an adjustment position one of the height adjustment actuators and generates a height signal. Each of the support assemblies may be mounted to the chassis by a track-width adjustment mechanism having a track-width adjustment actuator. The height adjustment system is controlled in a manner to synchronize each height adjustment actuator with the other actuators. Adjustment of one or more height adjustment actuators is slowed or stopped in the event that other actuators need to catch up. The track-width adjustment actuators may shift the position of the associated ground-engaging element laterally relative to the chassis to keep the ground-engaging elements from sliding laterally as the chassis height changes.

  • Patent number: 11728111
Abstract: A switch that includes a droplet capable of spreading between two conductors to allow them to be coupled when a voltage is applied. The droplet can be enclosed by a cap that is bonded to a wafer that the droplet is placed upon, and include metallic properties. The cap can create a cavity that may be filled by a fluid, gas, or vapor. The cavity can have multiple conductors that extend partially or fully through it. The droplet can couple the conductors when specific voltages, or frequencies are applied to them. At the specific voltage and frequency the droplet can spread allowing at least two conductors to be coupled.

  • Patent number: 11719577
Abstract: A compact mmW spectroscopy cell system for detecting volatile organic compounds (compounds) in a gas. The system includes a gas collection chamber, an input buffer cavity for receiving the gas from the gas collection chamber, pumping devices to pass the gas from the buffer cavity to an absorption cell and maintain pressure, and a transceiver connected to the cell. The transceiver interrogates the absorption cell filled with the gas by passing a high frequency electromagnetic signal and sweeping the signal to generate an absorption spectra which is compared to a spectroscopy database for detecting the compounds in the gas. The absorption cell, collection chambers, and pumping devices are fabricated with standard CMOS processing techniques at chip and wafer scale. The transceiver bonded to the absorption cell with chip scale integration.

  • Publication number: 20230244506
Abstract: A computer system generates and transmits one or more first presentation instructions which when rendered cause displaying one or more machine-generated messages of a conversational assistant in a first window of a graphical user interface (GUI) and cause displaying at least one other GUI element in the GUI. The computer system receives an input via the first window and processes one or more comments represented in the input to determine a task responsive to the one or more comments. Based on the task, the computer system generates and transmits one or more second presentation instructions which when rendered cause updating one or more of the first window and the other GUI element. The computer system repeats the generating, transmitting, receiving, processing, and updating steps to control the first window and the other GUI element based on a programmed workflow.

  • Patent number: 11677758
Abstract: Techniques for minimizing data flow from a first computing infrastructure hosting an email service platform to a second computing infrastructure at least partly hosting an email security platform that provides security analysis on emails of the email service. The email security platform may extract metadata from emails received at the first computing infrastructure, and send that metadata to the second computing infrastructure that is hosting a back end of the email service platform. The metadata extracted from the emails may include less confidential contained in an email, but enough information for the email security platform to determine whether an email is potentially malicious. Thus, the security analysis performed on emails to detect malicious attacks may be offloaded to the second computing infrastructure, but the metadata that leaves the first computing infrastructure and flows to the second computing infrastructure may be minimized by extracting meaningful metadata.
