  • Patent number: 7441977
Abstract: A portfolio including a panel and a removable and reversible article carrying board. The panel and board have a fastening arrangement, preferably a hook and loop fastener, for releasable engagement therebetween. The board preferably has at least one fastening arrangement located on each side. At least one fastening arrangement preferably extends outwardly beyond the board or panel to engage a fastening arrangement located on an away facing board or panel side. In a preferred embodiment, each board side has a fastener strip disposed along side edges and the panel has a pair of spaced apart outwardly extending fastener strips that each engages a fastener strip on the away facing board side and that also each engages a fastener strip on the toward facing board side. The board can include an expandable elastic pocket of bonded and preferably heat sealed construction.

  • Publication number: 20080035502
Abstract: A pocketed sheet, method of making, and article-holding pocket well suited for disk media storage. The pocketed sheet has binder ring holes for use with a ring binder, includes a base layer and first outer layer bonded thereto via at least one mechanically entangling seam that also integrally defines at least a portion of the pocket. A pocket cover flap integrally formed from the outer layer has a window to view a disk in the pocket. A preferred sheet includes another outer layer bonded to the base in like manner defining at least part of a view sleeve configured to present related printed matter, preferably the disk insert. One preferred pocketed sheet has a plurality of pockets on one side and a sleeve for each pocket on the other side. Such an arrangement provides an efficient, accurate and time-saving media storage system and method.

  • Publication number: 20080030015
Abstract: A book sling of a generally U-shaped sling cradle is provided with first and second side walls, and a bottom disposed between the side walls upon which one or more books received in the cradle of the book sling rest. Advantageously, the book sling has open sides and an open top enabling quick visual determination of which particular book should be taken out during use, thereby making it quicker and easier to use than a backpack that completely encloses everything such that it cannot be viewed without first opening the backpack.

  • Publication number: 20070297849
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an item holding assembly that may include a binder and portfolio with one releasably attached to the other enabling quick and easy separation for use of one independent of the other. In a preferred embodiment, binder and portfolio panels can overlie one another, particularly when releasably engaged in a manner that releasably attaches them. A flap, such as part of the panel or the panel of one is received in a pocket formed in the panel of the other to facilitate and preferably provide releasable attachment.

  • Publication number: 20070085323
Abstract: A multi page product hang tag includes at least one overlay sheet having pages hingedly attached to a spine with the spine attached to a backing sheet. The backing sheet is attachable to a displayable product, e.g., a binder. Each overlay sheet has an interruption between each page and the spine connected by laminate material that forms a hinge along each interruption. In manufacture, an indicia carrying sheet, e.g., stock, is formed to remove material defining each page and spine along with the hinge-defining interruption therebetween. At least one bridge of the sheet extends between each page and spine above and/or below its corresponding interruption. After laminating the formed sheet, additional forming removes each bridge producing a multi-paged overlay sheet that is in turn attached to a backing sheet to form a product hang tag in accordance with the invention.

  • Publication number: 20070086844
Abstract: A connector is attachable to an extending transformer stud. The connector includes an elongate central body having a longitudinal bore opening at one end for insertable accommodation of the transformer stud. The longitudinal bore accepts more than one size stud without increasing the size and cost needed for two separate mounting holes. The connector according to the present invention accepts the pitch of at least two different size threads and with the typical setscrew locking arrangement, maintains thread engagement on one side of the stud, securing the stud and maintaining an electrical contact area between the stud and the connector.

  • Publication number: 20070086841
Abstract: A binder arrangement that has a plurality of covers hingably connected to a spine that spaces apart each cover such that each cover can carry a binder and be closed one on top of the other without either binder interfering with each other or case closure. Each binder includes a hold down page that is releasably attached by a hold down page latch that accommodates the binder holding contents having different thicknesses. In a preferred embodiment, the hold down page latch comprises a hook and loop fastener that has a loop strip fixed to a latch strap and a hook strip that is fixed to the hold down page. To increase the number of opening and closing cycles the binder arrangement can endure, the binder arrangement has sidewalls joined by a fastening arrangement that is resiliently anchored at one end to the spine, preferably by an elastomeric connector. In one preferred embodiment, the fastening arrangement is a zipper that is resiliently anchored at its zipper bottom stop by a piece of elastic fabric.
