  • Patent number: 11964215
Abstract: A toy vehicle track system of the present application includes electrical connections between the track pieces that allow a central hub, referred to herein as a “portal piece,” to communicate with any track pieces included in the track system. In order to ensure that the portal piece can quickly and accurately identify track configurations that are built, the toy vehicle track system implements a communications protocol that supports communications between any two pieces of track. Based on these communications, the portal piece can determine an orientation, a track type, and a position of any track pieces attached, whether directly or indirectly, to the portal piece. The portal piece can then transmit this information to an electronic device executing an application associated with the track system to allow for digital play on a digital version of the track configuration (among other digital play modes).

  • Publication number: 20240123289
Abstract: Performance of an athlete is evaluated using position data of the athlete over time during performance of a set of movements. Movement metrics for the set of movements are determined, the movement metrics including measures of acceleration and power. Performance metrics for the athlete are then calculated to indicate the athlete's strength and speed. A reference data set is defined based on various attributes associated with the athlete. The performance metrics are applied to the reference data set to determine a performance category for the athlete, the performance category indicating relative strength and speed of the athlete among other athletes represented in the reference data set. Lastly, a training regimen for the athlete is generated based on the performance category.

  • Publication number: 20240126086
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for operating a head-mounted display system based on user perceptibility. The display system may be an augmented reality display system configured to provide virtual content on a plurality of depth planes by presenting the content with different amounts of wavefront divergence. Some embodiments include obtaining an image captured by an imaging device of the display system. Whether a threshold measure or more of motion blur is determined to be exhibited in one or more regions of the image. Based on a determination that the threshold measure or more of motion blur is exhibited in one or more regions of the image, one or more operating parameters of the wearable display are adjusted. Example operating parameter adjustments comprise adjusting the depth plane on which content is presented (e.g., by switching from a first depth plane to a second depth plane), adjusting a rendering quality, and adjusting power characteristics of the system.

  • Publication number: 20230373347
Abstract: Power management system for battery-operated vehicle including electric motor, and kinetic energy devices for capturing kinetic friction energy produced by moving parts in the vehicle. A central direct current (DC) supercharge component (CDCSC) converts kinetic friction energy into an electric current. The CDCSC connects to a current toggle that directs electric current to battery packs i.e., a first battery pack and second battery pack for powering the electric motor. The current toggle directs electric current to battery packs to recharge/store power. The power management system governs power output from the battery packs, manages depletion/efficiency of the battery packs. The power management system includes a parallel port that directs outgoing power feeds from the battery packs to the electric motor. The electric motor connects to a drive shaft of the vehicle. The power management system includes an additional battery pack that stores excess kinetic friction energy captured for external transfer.
