  • Patent number: 11794775
Abstract: The subject matter described in this specification is generally directed control architectures for an autonomous vehicle. In one example, a reference trajectory, a set of lateral constraints, and a set of speed constraints are received using a control circuit. The control circuit determines a set of steering commands based at least in part on the reference trajectory and the set of lateral constraints and a set of speed commands based at least in part on the set of speed constraints. The vehicle is navigated, using the control circuit, according to the set of steering commands and the set of speed commands.

  • Patent number: 11673997
Abstract: The present invention provides a polyaspartic composition comprising a reaction product of a polyamine and a Michael addition receptor reacted in the presence of a catalyst comprising a phenolic compound, with the proviso that the phenolic compound is not a phenol which is substituted with tert-butyl groups in both ortho positions to the oxygen. Suitable phenolic compounds include phenols, phenolic aldehydes, alkylphenols, benzenediols, cashew nut oil, and combinations thereof. Coatings, adhesives, sealants, composites, castings, and films comprising a polyurea composition may be made by reacting a polyisocyanate with the inventive polyaspartic composition. In particular, floor coatings made with the inventive polyaspartic composition have an elongated work time and a short walk-on time compared to current floor coatings.

  • Publication number: 20230159063
Abstract: Provided are methods for autonomous driving mode engagement. Some systems described receive at least one autonomous vehicle operation task output associated with driving a vehicle in autonomous driving mode in an environment while the vehicle is operated in manual driving mode in the environment. The at least one autonomous vehicle operation task output is compared to a respective threshold, wherein the respective threshold is adaptive based on a current operational state of the vehicle in the manual driving mode. A transition indicator is set based on the comparison, and a transition from the manual driving mode to the autonomous driving mode is rejected in response to the transition indicator indicating a smooth transition from the manual driving mode to the autonomous driving mode is unavailable. Methods and computer program products are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20230082469
Abstract: An exercise apparatus includes a linear arm portion having an elongate arm member with proximal and distal ends and an elongate support member having proximal and distal ends. The arm member can be slidably mounted to the support member by a sliding joint positioned at the distal end of the support member. The arm member can be movable along a first axis between retracted and extended positions. The sliding joint can include first and second bearing assemblies which are spaced apart a sufficient distance from each other for constraining portions of the arm member within the sliding joint. The proximal end of the arm member that overlaps with the support member outside of the sliding joint when in retracted positions can be capable of some unconstrained lateral movement relative to the first axis. A linear arm brake assembly can be coupled to the arm member for resisting linear motion of the arm member.

  • Publication number: 20230050151
Abstract: A toy vehicle track system of the present application includes electrical connections between the track pieces that allow a central hub, referred to herein as a “portal piece,” to communicate with any track pieces included in the track system. In order to ensure that the portal piece can quickly and accurately identify track configurations that are built, the toy vehicle track system implements a communications protocol that supports communications between any two pieces of track. Based on these communications, the portal piece can determine an orientation, a track type, and a position of any track pieces attached, whether directly or indirectly, to the portal piece. The portal piece can then transmit this information to an electronic device executing an application associated with the track system to allow for digital play on a digital version of the track configuration (among other digital play modes).

The arm member can be slidably mounted to the support member by a sliding joint. A linear arm brake assembly can be coupled to the arm member for resisting linear motion of the arm member. A torso portion can be included to which the linear arm portion is rotatably mounted about a second axis by rotary shoulder joint. The linear arm portion can be configured, and the rotary shoulder joint can be positioned along the length of the support member at a location that substantially balances the linear arm portion about the rotary shoulder joint at least when the arm member is in the retracted position.

  • Publication number: 20220388425
Abstract: Power management system for battery-operated vehicle including electric motor, and kinetic energy devices for capturing kinetic friction energy produced by moving parts in the vehicle. A central direct current (DC) supercharge component (CDCSC) converts kinetic friction energy into an electric current. The CDCSC connects to a current toggle that directs electric current to battery packs i.e., a first battery pack and second battery pack for powering the electric motor. The current toggle directs electric current to battery packs to recharge/store power. The power management system governs power output from the battery packs, manages depletion/efficiency of the battery packs. The power management system includes a parallel port that directs outgoing power feeds from the battery packs to the electric motor. The electric motor connects to a drive shaft of the vehicle. The power management system includes an additional battery pack that stores excess kinetic friction energy captured for external transfer.
