  • Patent number: 12118086
Abstract: Deception-based techniques for responding to security attacks are described herein. The techniques include transitioning a security attack to a monitored computing device posing as a computing device impacted by the security attack and enabling the adversary to obtain deceptive information from the monitored computing device. Also, the adversary may obtain a document configured to report identifying information of an entity opening the document, thereby identifying the adversary associated with the attack. Further, the techniques include determining that a domain specified in a domain name request is associated with malicious activity and responding to the request with a network address of a monitored computing device to cause the requesting process to communicate with the monitored computing device in place of an adversary server. Additionally, a service may monitor dormant domains names associated with malicious activity and, in response to a change, respond with an alert or a configuration update.

  • Patent number: 12109129
Abstract: A surgical extractor including first and second arms connected to first and second implant-engageable jaws. The first and second arms are connected by first and third links to a stationary screw jack nut and by second and fourth links to a moveable screw jack nut. A driven shaft is rotatably received in the stationary screw jack nut and threadedly received in the moveable screw jack nut, and a drive shaft rotatably drives the driven shaft. Rotation of the drive shaft in a first direction separates the first and second arms and jaws in order to receive an implant. Rotation of the drive shaft in a second direction closes the first and second arms and jaws in order to clamp an implant. A handle assembly engages the drive shaft in order to drive the drive shaft and disengages from the drive shaft to exert a removal force on an implant.

  • Publication number: 20240319712
Abstract: Dynamic range aware conversion of sensor readings is described. A system includes one or more sensors to sense conditions of a component and output sensor readings and a system manager. The system manager is configured to convert the sensor readings into condition measurements by converting the sensor readings into the condition measurements using a first transformation while operating in a first conversion mode or converting the sensor readings into the condition measurements using a second transformation while operating in a second conversion mode. The system manager then adjusts operation of the component based on the condition measurements.

  • Publication number: 20240324152
Abstract: We describe a power converter cooling arrangement in which a base has a top plate of a thermally conductive material, and a bottom plate and side walls define a chamber. An inlet and outlet are in fluid communication with the chamber, and the chamber is flooded with a cooling fluid that flows between the inlet and outlet. A PCB of a power converter is mounted to, and thermally coupled with, the top plate, where the PCB receives a plurality of power modules (that are used in the power conversion). The base comprises a plurality of fluid channels for flowing cooling fluid therethrough. Each of the fluid channels is arranged to coincide with a location of one or more components mounted to the PCB.

  • Publication number: 20240311705
Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method may include identifying and notifying requestors that may be candidates for a particular autonomous vehicle in order to find those candidates that may be willing or able to relax their travel constraints to match the autonomous vehicle. A request flow may involve surfacing the potential option of matching to an autonomous vehicle before setting a specific destination. For example, the request flow may involve determining that an autonomous vehicle is sufficiently near an in-session potential requestor. Before the potential requestor enters a specific destination, the request flow may present the possibility of the potential requestor being matched with the autonomous vehicle. In some examples, the request flow may then provide available drop-off locations that are compatible with the autonomous vehicle for selection by the potential requestor. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 12090118
Abstract: Caps for sealing assemblies for sealing glass containers and maintaining container closure integrity at ?80° C. or less are disclosed. The caps include a cap skirt having an annular body and a crimp region. The crimp region is a crimpable metal. The annular body of the cap skirt has a coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) greater than a CTE of a metal consisting of aluminum, a stiffness greater than or equal to 2 times a stiffness of the crimp region, or both. The greater CTE, stiffness, or both of the cap skirt increase the seal pressure and contact area between the stopper and glass container when cooled to ?80° C. or less. The caps enable the sealing assemblies to maintain a helium leakage rate of the sealed glass container of less than or equal to 1.4×10?6 cm3/s at ?80° C. or less.

  • Publication number: 20240305952
Abstract: The present document relates to methods and apparatus for rendering input audio for playback in a playback environment. The input audio includes at least one audio object and associated metadata, and the associated metadata indicates at least a location of the audio object. A method for rendering input audio including divergence metadata for playback in a playback environment comprises creating two additional audio objects associated with the audio object such that respective locations of the two additional audio objects are evenly spaced from the location of the audio object, on opposite sides of the location of the audio object when seen from an intended listener's position in the playback environment, determining respective weight factors for application to the audio object and the two additional audio objects, and rendering the audio object and the two additional audio objects to one or more speaker feeds in accordance with the determined weight factors.

  • Publication number: 20240300672
Abstract: Methods for a reusable space vehicle to land at substantially the same location as its launching site. The vehicle traveling in a particular orbit, which is a repeating ground track orbit, allows for launching and landing at the same location once per day. The repeating ground track orbits that allow for launching and landing at the same location once per day overfly the launch and landing site once per day. Launching and landing at the same site provides a number of direct advantages. For example, the just-landed vehicle may be transported a relatively short distance to the launch site, reconditioned relatively quickly, and be ready for a quick turn-around launch.

  • Patent number: 12079569
Abstract: A system and model by which to manage edits to localized versions of base-language electronic content. The model determines the likelihood of whether a modification made to a document is substantive and should be propagated back to the base electronic content and assists users in identifying these edits. The proposed method can significantly improve workflow efficiency and allow users to feel more comfortable in the development and use of their electronic content across multiple authoring platforms.

  • Patent number: 12080311
Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure are directed toward digital signal processing using machine-learned differentiable digital signal processors. For example, embodiments of the present disclosure may include differentiable digital signal processors within the training loop of a machine-learned model (e.g., for gradient-based training). Advantageously, systems and methods of the present disclosure provide high quality signal processing using smaller models than prior systems, thereby reducing energy costs (e.g., storage and/or processing costs) associated with performing digital signal processing.
