Patent number: 9530327Abstract: Management of a user's continued attention to distance learning content using a general purpose computer having a central processing unit, an operating system configured to run multiple program applications concurrently, and a player suitable for presenting the distance learning content. A distance learning module comprises code executable on the central processing unit, as one of the multiple program applications. The distance learning module is operable to interrupt a presentation of the distance learning content at the player to the user in response to prescribed events concerning another one of the multiple program applications. A method executing on a computer that can concurrently run multiple applications identifies events concerning an application other than the distance learning application, processes the identified events so as to identify a prescribed event among the identified events, and interrupts the presentation of the distance learning content in response to the prescribed event.Type: GrantFiled: February 12, 2013Date of Patent: December 27, 2016Assignee: MICRON SYSTEMS INC.Inventors: David Wit, Adam Stein, Larry Plasil, Jim Barako

Publication number: 20160168780Abstract: Textiles are hygienically cleaned by subjecting them to a low-temperature wash, generally less than 140°, and typically about 100° F. Once cleaned, they are subjected to a low temperature bleaching step at a pH of generally around 9 or less. The bleaching step is again conducted a low temperature, such as 140°, 100° F. Treated textiles can then be rinsed and treated to any typical post-washing operations. By conducting the washing and the bleaching at low temperatures, energy is saved. Further, maintaining the low temperature and low pH for the bleaching solution achieves better disinfection and, at the same time, minimizes damage to the textile.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 16, 2014Publication date: June 16, 2016Inventors: Ryan Coggeshall, Adam Stein

Publication number: 20130291415Abstract: The current invention discloses an easy to use poster hanger system. According to the invention a support rail is attached to the ceiling. A sign support element is attached to the support rail via sign support strings. By releasing sign support strings from string cassettes locating in the support rail, the sign support element can be pulled down for attachment of the upper end of a poster along its full length to the sign support element. The lower end of the poster is optionally attached along its full length to a bottom support element. The sign can be pushed up to a desired height by pushing the sign support element up while the sign support string is rolled back onto the string cassettes.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 28, 2012Publication date: November 7, 2013Inventor: Adam Stein

Patent number: 8374980Abstract: Management of a user's continued attention to distance learning content using a general purpose computer having a central processing unit and an operating system configured to run multiple program applications concurrently. A memory stores the distance learning content. A distance learning module comprises code executable on the central processing unit, as one of the multiple program applications. The distance learning module presents the distance learning content to a user and is operable to interrupt a presentation of the distance learning content in response to prescribed events concerning another one of the multiple program applications. A method executing on a computer that an concurrently run multiple applications identifies events concerning an application other than the distance learning application, processes the identified events so as to identify a prescribed event among the identified events, and interrupts the presentation of the distance learning content in response to the prescribed event.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 2010Date of Patent: February 12, 2013Assignee: Micron SystemsInventors: David Wit, Adam Stein, Larry Plasil, Jim Barako
