  • Publication number: 20240149120
Abstract: An iron-type golf club head that includes a rear wall having a variable thickness region. The variable thickness region includes a plurality of recesses formed in an interior surface of the rear wall. A thickness of the rear wall, defined by the recesses, is less than the thickness of the rear wall between the recesses. A body of the golf club head includes a face opening, a toe port, and an internal-weight cavity. The golf club head also includes a strike plate, attached to the body so that the strike plate covers the face opening, and an internal weight, seated in the internal-weight cavity. An internal cavity of the golf club head is configured to receive the filler material through the toe port. A ratio of a minimum rear wall thickness to a minimum face thickness is between 0.15 to 0.65.

  • Publication number: 20240140154
Abstract: A breakaway mitigation system is provided for addressing breakaway between a tractor and a trailer unit of a truck. The breakaway mitigation system can include a spool assembly, a sensor, and a controller. The spool assembly has a spool body configured to deploy a length of a tether coupled with the spool body and configured to couple with an energy source supply conduit and to retract the length of the tether. The energy source supply conduit is configured to convey a source of energy for use by a motor or by a fuel cell. The sensor is configured to detect the length of the tether that has been deployed. The controller is configured to receive an input corresponding to the detected length and to implement a countermeasure when the detected amount exceeds a threshold value. Mitigation can be provided by a coupler that decouples under a load over a threshold.

  • Patent number: 11951365
Abstract: A shim or badge is affixed to a golf club body to produce a cap-back iron, giving the appearance of a hollow-body iron. In this way, the golf club can be manufactured with the performance benefits of a game improvement iron, while providing the appearance of a blade, player's iron, and/or a hollow-body iron. For example, by using a lightweight and rigid shim or badge to close a cavity opening and extend into the toe portion in the golf club body, the golf club head can provide increased stiffness in the topline, while lowering CG. Various shim or badge arrangements and materials can be used, and a filler material and/or damper can be included within the cavity to improve sound and feel, while minimizing loss in COR.

  • Patent number: 11918874
Abstract: A damper is provided within the cavity of a golf club head and spans substantially the full length of the striking face from heel-to-toe of the golf club head. One or more cutouts and/or other relief is provided in the damper to reduce the surface area of the damper that contacts the rear surface of the striking face. By reducing the surface area that the damper contacts the rear surface of the striking face, the full length damper improves the sound and feel of the golf club head at impact and only minimally reduces performance of the golf club head. For example, the one or more cutouts and/or other relief maintains face flexibility, characteristic time (CT) and coefficient of restitution (COR) of the striking face.

  • Patent number: 11601288
Abstract: A secure connection to a router web UI is provided. In one implementation, responsive to a client request to securely connect to a router web server (RWS), the RWS generates and sends a certificate signing request (CSR) to a remote-security certificate server (R-SCS). Upon validation of the RWS, the R-SCS signs and transmits a router web UI certificate (RWUIC) to the RWS to present to the client. In another implementation, the router includes a local-SCS (L-SCS) that periodically obtains a short-lived intermediate certification authority (ICA) certificate from the R-SCS. Responsive to a client request for secure access to the RWS, the RWS generates and sends a CSR to the L-SCS for the RWUIC. The L-SCS signs the RWUIC and passes the ICA certificate and RWUIC to the RWS, which presents the certificate(s) to the client. Upon validation of the certificate(s), a secure channel between the client and RWS is established.
