  • Patent number: 11290515
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for implementing real-time, low-latency packetization protocols for live compressed video data are disclosed. A wireless transmitter includes at least a codec and a media access control (MAC) layer unit. In order for the codec to communicate with the MAC layer unit, the codec encodes the compression ratio in a header embedded inside the encoded video stream. The MAC layer unit extracts the compression ratio from the header and determines a modulation coding scheme (MCS) for transferring the video stream based on the compression ratio. The MAC layer unit and the codec also implement a feedback loop such that the MAC layer unit can command the codec to adjust the compression ratio. Since the changes to the video might not be implemented immediately, the MAC layer unit relies on the header to determine when the video data is coming in with the requested compression ratio.

  • Publication number: 20220055422
Abstract: A tire high temperature forecasting system includes at least one tire that supports a vehicle, and at least one sensor mounted on the tire for measuring a temperature of the tire. An electronic memory capacity is in a unit mounted on the tire for storing tire identification information. A processor is in electronic communication with the sensor and the electronic memory capacity, in which the processor receives and correlates the measured temperature, a time of the temperature measurement, and the tire identification information. Transmission means transmit the measured temperature, a time of the temperature measurement, and the tire identification information to a remote processor. The remote processor executes a forecasting model, and the forecasting model generates a forecast estimate. If the forecast estimate includes a predicted high temperature that is greater than a predetermined high temperature threshold for the tire, an alert is generated by the forecasting model.

  • Patent number: 11142414
Abstract: This disclosure concerns an article and a method for using it. The article enables the user to conveniently stand, temporarily, on the rollers of a roller conveyor. The user sets the article on the roller conveyor, stands on the article, and when finished with his task, steps off the article and removes it from the roller conveyor. The article is made of a material which is light and strong, such as ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. It features semi-circular recesses in a bottom surface which selectively and operatively receive the rollers of the roller conveyor. Packages can pass on the roller conveyor and the rollers can still turn in many cases, while the package passes next to the article.

  • Patent number: 10981730
Abstract: An auger system having an auger with an internal measurement system that is contained within the auger. The measurement system has a power source located within the auger and a sensor for measuring at least one condition within the auger. The measurement system is connected to the power source and a transmitter is powered by the power source to transmit a signal from the sensor. A receiver receives the signal from the transmitter and is spaced from the transmitter. The signal is then sent to a control system that compares the signal to a predetermined value to determine whether the condition measured is within an acceptable range. The control system may alter inputs into components for moving the auger until said condition is within an acceptable range.

  • Patent number: 10972752
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for implementing stereoscopic interleaved compression techniques are disclosed. A system includes a transmitter sending a video stream over a wireless link to a receiver. For each pair of frames, the transmitter encodes a left-half of a first frame of the pair with an amount of compression less than a first threshold and encodes a right-half of the first frame with an amount of compression greater than a second threshold. For a second frame of the pair, the transmitter encodes a right-half of the second frame with an amount of compression less than the first threshold and encodes a left-half of the second frame with an amount of compression greater than the second threshold. The transmitter conveys encoded half-frames and indications of an amount of compression used for each half-frame to a receiver. The receiver receives, decodes, and drives the encoded half-frames to a display.

  • Patent number: 10880474
Abstract: Various systems and processes may achieve mobile imaging. In particular implementations, systems and processes for mobile imaging may include the ability to capture video data with a number of video cameras mounted on a vehicle, determine positioning information as the cameras capture video data, and place audio marks in the video data of each camera. Each camera may be positioned to obtain a different view relative to the vehicle and adapted to capture video data as the vehicle travels. The positioning information may, for example, be derived from a global positioning system transceiver. The audio marks may be generated a number of times as the vehicle travels, and the time for each activation logged. The captured video data from each camera may be synchronized based on the audio marks and then combined to generate a 360 degree video, as well as related images, which may be correlated with map locations.

  • Publication number: 20200287129
Abstract: A memory cell design is disclosed. The memory cell structure includes phase change and selector layers stacked between top and bottom electrodes. An ohmic contact may be included between the phase change and selector layers. A multi-layer liner structure is provided on sidewalls of the phase change layer. In some such cases, the liner structure is above and not on sidewalls of the selector layer. The liner structure includes a first dielectric layer, and a second dielectric layer on the first dielectric layer. The liner structure includes a third dielectric layer on the second dielectric layer and that is sacrificial in nature, and may not be present in the final structure. The second dielectric layer comprises a high-k dielectric material or a metal silicate material. The second dielectric layer protects the phase change layer from lateral erosion and physical vertical etch and provides etch selectivity during the fabrication process.
