Abstract: A method for providing a user agent (UA) with service identification data. The method includes an application server (AS) transmitting Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) data. The SIP data comprises an identifier of the AS and a service identifier for at least one service supported by the AS. The method further includes the UA receiving the SIP data.

Abstract: A method for performing initial registration is provided. The method includes receiving a server timeout message, the server timeout message including at least a field set to a value equal to a value received during a first registration. The method further includes initiating restoration procedures by performing an initial registration.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a scheme is disclosed for supporting wireless access network service request capability in a user equipment (UE) device that is operable in wide area cellular network (WACN) bands as well as in wireless access network bands (e.g., GAN bands and/or UMA bands). The UE device includes capability for gaining Internet Protocol (IP) connectivity with a wireless access network node (e.g., a GAN controller (GANC) or UMA network controller (UNC)). Thereafter, the UE device is operable to initiate a registration request message towards the wireless access network node, wherein the registration request message includes at least one information element pertaining to wireless access network services required by the UE device.

Abstract: Systems and methods to configure sidelink resources in a dual connectivity operation are provided. In some aspect, a method comprising: transmitting, from a user equipment (UE), a first message to a first evolved Node B (eNB), wherein the first message indicates a request to establish a sidelink communication; receiving, at the UE, a second message from the first eNB, wherein the second message indicates a frequency that is used by a secondary evolved Node B (SeNB); transmitting, from the UE, a measurement result to the first eNB; and receiving, at the UE, sidelink configuration information from the first eNB, wherein the sidelink configuration information indicates sidelink resources managed by the secondary eNB.

Abstract: According to one aspect, a system and method of exchanging GRUUs (Globally Routed User Agent URI (Uniform Resource Identifier)) between a first telephony-enabled device and a second telephony enabled device using a circuit-switched message is provided. Once exchanged, the telephony enabled devices can exchange SIP (session initiated protocol) communications routed by the GRUUs. Any one of the telephony-enabled devices can add a media component to the SIP communications. According to another aspect, a system and method of generating GRUUs is provided. According to another aspect, a system and method of handing off communications to a packet switched network from a circuit switched network is provided.

Abstract: Methods and devices for encoding a point cloud. A current node associated with a sub-volume is split into further sub-volumes, each further sub-volume corresponding to a child node of the current node, and, at the encoder, an occupancy pattern is determined for the current node based on occupancy status of the child nodes. A probability distribution is selected from among a plurality of probability distributions based on occupancy data for a plurality of nodes neighbouring the current node. The encoder entropy encodes the occupancy pattern based on the selected probability distribution to produce encoded data for the bitstream and updates the selected probability distribution. The decoder makes the same selection based on occupancy data for neighbouring nodes and entropy decodes the bitstream to reconstruct the occupancy pattern.

Abstract: A method for steering of roaming (SOR) in wireless communication networks includes sending by a mobile equipment (ME) a registration message to a visited public land mobile network (VPLMN). The ME receives a first message from a home public land mobile network (HPLMN) through the VPLMN. The ME determines that the first message has failed a security check. In response to determining that the first message has failed the security check, the ME sends a second message to the VPLMN, the second message including an indication that the first message has failed the security check.

Abstract: In some examples, a wireless device receives, from a wireless access network node, an indication of a supported extended emergency information (EEI) type supported by a wireless local area network (WLAN). The supported EEI type is selected from among a plurality of different EEI types. The wireless device sends a message relating to an emergency call, the message including EEI data according to the supported EEI type.

Abstract: A method for network selection on a user equipment (UE) device and the UE device are shown. The user equipment device registers on a first network in a wide area cellular network (WACN) band and receives, from a wireless local area network (WLAN), a list of WACNs that support generic access network (GAN) capabilities. The user equipment device selects the WLAN if the first network is on the list.
