Patent number: 11481746Abstract: A store profile generation method includes moving a mobile base around a product facility which includes an arrangement of product display units for displaying products. Product labels are associated with the display units. The product labels display product-related data for the displayed products. With an image capture assembly mounted on the mobile base, images are acquired of the product display units at a sequence of locations of the mobile base. With a computer processor, the product-related data is extracted from the acquired images and a store profile is constructed, based on the extracted product-related data, a spatial characterization of the image capture assembly, and information on the locations of the mobile base when the images were acquired, which indicates locations of the product labels throughout the product facility.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2019Date of Patent: October 25, 2022Assignee: Conduent Business Services, LLCInventors: Wencheng Wu, Steven R. Moore, Thomas F. Wade, Dennis L. Venable, Adrien P. Côté, Peter Paul

Patent number: 10453046Abstract: A store profile generation system includes a mobile base and an image capture assembly mounted on the base. The assembly includes at least one image capture device for acquiring images of product display units in a product facility, product labels being associated with the product display units which include product-related data. A control unit acquires the images captured by the at least one image capture device at a sequence of locations of the mobile base in the product facility. The control unit extracts the product-related data from the acquired images and constructs a store profile indicating locations of the product labels throughout the product facility, based on the extracted product-related data. The store profile can be used for generating new product labels for a sale in an appropriate order for a person to match to the appropriate locations in a single pass through the store.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 2014Date of Patent: October 22, 2019Assignee: Conduent Business Services, LLCInventors: Wencheng Wu, Steven R. Patent number: 9921500Abstract: A method of forming an overcoat layer. The method comprises providing a substrate having an imaging structure formed thereon, the imaging structure comprising (i) a charge transport layer and a charge generating layer, or (ii) an imaging layer comprising both charge generating material and charge transport material. An overcoat composition is deposited on the imaging structure, the overcoat composition comprising a charge transport molecule, a fluorinated building block, a leveling agent, a liquid carrier and optionally a first catalyst. The fluorinated building block is a fluorinated alkyl monomer substituted at the ? and ? positions with a hydroxyl, carboxyl, carbonyl or aldehyde functional group or the anhydrides of any of those functional groups. The overcoat composition is cured to form an overcoat layer that is a fluorinated structured organic film, the curing comprising treating an outer surface of the overcoat composition with at least one cross-linking process.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 2016Date of Patent: March 20, 2018Assignee: XEROX CORPORATIONInventors: Gregory McGuire, Adrien P. Patent number: 9659204Abstract: This disclosure provides an image processing method and system for recognizing barcodes and/or product labels. According to an exemplary embodiment, the method uses a multifaceted detection process that includes both image enhancement of a candidate barcode region and other product label information associated with a candidate barcode region to identify a product label, where the candidate barcode region includes a nonreadable barcode. According to one exemplary application, a store profile is generated based on the identifications of the product labels which are associated with a location of a product within a store.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 2014Date of Patent: May 23, 2017Assignee: Conduent Business Services, LLCInventors: Wencheng Wu, Dennis L.
