  • Publication number: 20220020450
Abstract: A condition can be diagnosed based on a symptom experienced by a subject and based on a biological sample including nucleic acids. Based on the symptom, a first set of the nucleic acids can be preselected for analysis. A first plurality of the nucleic acids of the first set that are present in the first biological sample can be captured. For each of the captured nucleic acids of the first plurality, an amount of that captured nucleic acid that is present in the first biological sample can be quantified and sequenced and based on the sequence of that captured nucleic acid, an origin of that captured nucleic acid can be identified. An indication can be output of the quantified amount and the identified origin of at least one captured nucleic acid that is present in the first biological sample.

  • Publication number: 20190237174
Abstract: A gap in care alert system and method includes a computer network which receives health insurance claims data. A database with medical treatment protocols for medical conditions is in electronic communication with one or more processors, the computer network, and an electronic storage device. The processor is configured to analyze said health insurance claims data to identify a triggering event for an insured patient, establish a date for a follow-up event based on a treatment protocol, and generate a gap in care alert if subsequently gathered health insurance claims data does not contain the follow-up event by said date. An alert delivery subsystem delivers said alert electronically to a receiver.

  • Patent number: 10290172
Abstract: A system and method for automating the dispensation of medication is provided. Electronic medical record data including identifying data and medication data for an individual is received at a server. The medication data is analyzed to identify at least one medication for dispensation. An instruction is initiated to load said identified medication in an automated medication dispenser and the automated medication dispenser is loaded with a dosing tray in the form of a replenishable, standardized cartridge. Status data is received from the automated medication dispenser regarding the dispensation of the identified medication and medication dosages remaining. At least one image of a user interacting with the automated medication dispenser is provided from a monitoring component which is in electronic communication with said automated medication dispenser.

  • Publication number: 20160354154
Abstract: A system and method for rapid entry of past medical diagnoses allows for development of specific, clinically relevant diagnoses from a simple input medication through use of a developed database that maps an input medication to a specific medical diagnosis through an intermediate indications data set. Input medications are normalized to their generic or chemical name and the normalized medication data is associated to an intermediate diagnosis through a medications indications listing contained in a database. Each medication develops a short list of possible specific and/or macro-diagnoses (indications) consistent with the medications and a selected indication is concept-matched to a specific medical diagnosis in order to develop a proper diagnosis in clinically meaningful terms, from a concept-mapped portion of the database.
