  • Publication number: 20210248583
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system which facilitates easy and smooth detection of available one or more Point-of-sale (POS) terminals automatically at a merchant's site when a user desires to use a user device in order to pay for services/goods availed by the user device. The present invention provides a scalable, easy to use, seamless, and an efficient method to detect the POS terminals over a Wi-Fi network available to the user equipment. Information corresponding to the detected and available POS terminals are presented on the user device so that the user may easily select an appropriate POS terminal and may initiate the further payment process. The one or more available POS terminals are detected by the user device with the help of a first server device and a second server device.

  • Publication number: 20210243077
Abstract: A call control entity communicates with Internet Protocol (IP) phones over a network. Responsive to a request from a new IP phone that is to replace an existing IP phone, the call control entity determines there is no existing IP phone record for the new IP phone. In response, the call control entity acquires from the new IP phone a directory number associated that is to be used when making calls with the new IP phone, and searches for an existing IP phone record for the existing IP phone based on the directory number. When the existing IP phone record is found, the call control entity creates for the new IP phone a new IP phone record associated with the directory number, copies existing configuration information from the existing IP phone record to the new IP phone record, and configures the new IP phone with the existing configuration information.

  • Publication number: 20210240522
Abstract: Example implementations relate to migration of a stateful application from a source computing environment to a destination virtualized computing environment by prioritizing migration of data of the application based on a priority map created based on data usage patterns. An instance of the application is installed within the destination environment. The priority map includes priorities for chunks of the data based on historical data access patterns. The data is migrated from a source volume of the source environment to a destination volume of the destination environment on a chunk-by-chunk basis by performing a background data migration process based on the priority map. Usage of the application concurrent with the data migration process is facilitated by abstracting a location of data being operated upon by the application by maintaining migration status for the chunks. The priority map is periodically updated based on observed data access patterns post application migration.

  • Publication number: 20210234904
Abstract: A call control entity communicates with Internet Protocol (IP) phones. The call control entity creates a mapping between a headset identifier of a headset connected to a registered first IP phone, and an identifier associated with the first IP phone. Upon receiving a request from a second IP phone that is not registered, the call control entity determines there is no existing IP phone record for the second IP phone. Responsive to the determining, the call control entity acquires from the second IP phone the headset identifier, and accesses an first IP phone record of the first IP phone based on the headset identifier and the mapping. The call control entity creates a second IP phone record for the second IP phone, copies existing configuration information from the first IP phone record to the second IP phone record, and configures the second IP phone with the existing configuration information.

Abstract: Systems and methods for automated cooking are described. In one embodiment, an automated kitchen system includes a robotic device and a computing device having a memory storing instructions and a processor. The instructions cause the processor to identify a recipe associated with an order for at least one food item. The instructions cause the processor to identify an ingredient based on the set of instructions of the recipe. The instructions cause the processor to determine a measurement associated with the ingredient based on the set of instructions of the recipe. The instructions cause the processor to cause the robotic device to retrieve a measured portion of the ingredient based on the measurement and deliver the measured portion of the ingredient to cookware. The instructions cause the processor to cause the robotic device to execute a task in response to the measured portion of the ingredient being delivered to the cookware.

  • Publication number: 20210204026
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided herein for recommending a media asset based on a geographic location at which that media asset was frequently consumed. For example, the system may monitor a location, such as New York City or Times Square, to determine popular media assets watched there, such as “The Avengers,” and when another user visits New York City, the system may then notify the user that the movie, such as “The Avengers,” is associated with New York City. The system stores the geographic locations associated with the media asset in the database based on the consumption of the media asset so that other users may be notified which media assets are associated with each geographic location.

  • Publication number: 20210167578
Abstract: A tunable multi-mode laser is configured to generate a multi-mode optical signal at a tuned wavelength. The laser includes a semiconductor optical gain region, a feedback region, and a phase modulation region between the gain and feedback regions. Each of the regions may be monolithically integrated. A feedback loop is coupled to the tunable laser to receive the optical signal and includes at least one delay line. The delay line may also be monolithically integrated. An output of the delay line is fed back to the tunable multi-mode laser in order to provide at least one of self-injection locking and self-phase locked looping for the multi-mode tunable laser. Each of the optical gain region and phase modulation region of the laser is biased by the output of the delay line in order to reduce phase drift of the optical signal.

  • Publication number: 20210167759
Abstract: A system and method for efficiently storing and driving data between pipeline stages. In various embodiments, a flip-flop circuit includes a bypass circuit, which is a tri-state inverter, and the bypass circuit receives a clock signal and a version of a data signal. When the clock signal received by the flip-flop circuit is asserted, the output of the bypass circuit is sent as the output of the flip-flop circuit. In one example, the version of the data signal received by the bypass circuit is the data signal. In another example, the version of the data signal received by the bypass circuit is the output of a master latch. Although the output of the master latch is pre-charged, when the clock is asserted, each of a late arriving rising and falling data transition are included in the critical path of the flip-flop circuit.

  • Patent number: 11019603
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for communicating channel selection constraints in a network having multiple access points (APs). In one aspect, a root AP may assist with channel selection (assignment) for the multiple APs. A first AP can provide channel operating constraints to the root AP to indicate one or more operating constraints for a particular channel that may be used by the first AP. The operating constraints may be based, at least in part, on a hardware characteristic of the first AP. For example, an operating constraint may indicate a minimum channel separation or a maximum transmit power to consider when the particular channel is used concurrently with another channel. In another aspect, the first AP can communicate a channel selection error and error code when a particular channel cannot be used due to an operating constraint.

  • Publication number: 20210152775
Abstract: In some aspects, control circuitry receives and stores a user-specified time duration to associate with a skip-forward command. When the user later issues a skip-forward command to advance playback of a media asset to a desired location, the control circuitry retrieves the stored time duration, and determines an expected overshoot value associated with the skip-forward command. The control circuitry then compensates for the expected overshoot by calculating a new location in the media asset based on both the retrieved time duration and expected overshoot value. Upon advancing to the new location, the media asset is played back in a fast-forward mode, e.g., at a speed higher than normal speed.

  • Patent number: 11012395
Abstract: A computer system for electronic communications. Receiving a sender identifier and a recipient identifier. A first message is received from the sender identifier to send to the recipient identifier. Determining the relative ranking of the sender and the recipient. In response to determining that the recipient has a higher relative ranking than the sender, determining whether the first message contains an action item. In response to determining that the first message contains an action item, transmitting a second message to the sender. In response to receiving an indication from the sender to send the first message, sending the first message from the sender identifier to the recipient identifier.
