  • Publication number: 20160287809
Abstract: A dedicated device for detection of vascular shunts can include a first chamber, a second chamber, and a third chamber. The first chamber can be configured to hold liquid, the second chamber to hold gas, and the third chamber can be in communication with the first and second chambers. The third chamber can include small-scale geometric features configured to produce gas bubbles as liquid from the first chamber and gas from the second chamber simultaneously flow into the third chamber. The device can also include a device opening in communication with the third chamber such that a mixture of liquid and gas bubbles can flow out of the device opening. The device can also include a plunger configured to force the liquid and the gas simultaneously from the first and second chambers, through the third chamber to mix with each other and produce bubbles, and further through the device opening.

  • Patent number: 9292272
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for installing a software program in a computing device. The computing device has stored therein, a first operating system that supports an execution of the software program. In an embodiment, the method includes determining a differential software component between a second software component and a first software component. The second software component includes the first operating system and the software program and the first software component includes the first operating system. The method further includes generating a differential image corresponding to the differential software component. Subsequently, the method follows with storing the differential image and a version of a second operating system onto a bootable computer readable medium. The version of the second operating system is supportive of an extraction of the differential image onto the computing device. The method further includes accessing the bootable computer readable medium from the computing device.

  • Patent number: 9214176
Abstract: A PZT limiter in a microactuator type dual stage actuated (DSA) suspension limits travel of the PZT, particularly of the cantilevered end of the PZT and particularly during non-operational shock. The PZT limiter thus limits the stresses including bending placed on the PZT during the shock event and thus helps to prevent cracking of the PZT. Additionally, by limiting displacement of the PZT, the limiter improves the mechanic and electrical performance of the suspension during operation.

  • Publication number: 20140088750
Abstract: A system, method and/or process provide mass and efficient production, customization and/or distribution of one or more customized items in digital or physical form. A 2D image of a user may be utilized to create a plurality of 2D images or 3D models of the user having a plurality of facial expressions. One or more of the 2D images or 3D models of the user may be added to or incorporated into an original article to create and/or generate a customized item which includes the user. The 2D images or 3D models of the user may be inserted into one or more original frames of the original article to produce one or more customized frames which may be joined or added to the original article to generate the customized article.

  • Patent number: 7633742
Abstract: A fiber distribution terminal system includes a below ground vault, and a terminal enclosure within the vault. The system also includes a lift system in the vault, the lift system including a screw drive and a track system. Rotation of the screw drive lifts the terminal enclosure from a below ground to a lifted position, and the track system guides the terminal enclosure as the enclosure is lifted. The system also includes a tool such as a cordless drill to drive the screw drive. The screw drive can include a ball screw and a ball nut. The system can include a bracket to couple the terminal enclosure to the screw drive and the track system. The track system can include two sets of tracks, a first set of tracks that is fixed in the vault, and a second set of tracks that is coupled to the first set of tracks.

  • Publication number: 20080250441
Abstract: Interactive televised programs rely heavily on audience feedback via Short Message Service (SMS) provided by mobile/cellular network. On a polling prompt which opens a clocked “polling window”, a TV viewer enters his/her feedback message into a mobile/cell phone for transmission over a communications network such as GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) or CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access). Especially in a residential setting, for an IP (Internet Protocol)-enabled TV or STB (Set-Top Box), message entry can be facilitated by messaging capability from a hand-held control device for the TV or the STB.
