  • Publication number: 20200410524
Abstract: A method and a system for facilitating reuse or recycling of a packing bag are provided. A server links one or more details of the packing bag with a user identifier of a user based on an issuance of the packing bag to the user. The packing bag is associated with an identity tag that stores the one or more details of the packing bag. The server detects an occurrence of a first event associated with the packing bag. The first event corresponds to the reuse of the packing bag by the user or submission of the packing bag by the user for recycling. Based on the detection of the first event, the server credits one or more reward points to a reward point account that is associated with the user identifier of the user. The reward points credited to the reward point account are redeemable by the user.

  • Patent number: 10877928
Abstract: An executable utility is injected into cloud-based virtual machines (VMs) that are subject to backups by a data storage management system tasked with protecting the cloud-based VMs and their associated data. The utility is injected into a target VM which is “live” and operating. The utility analyzes the VM's live volume to discover data extents therein, and for each extent computes a respective checksum and determines whether the extent is a “hole.” Afterwards, checksums help identify changed data in successive snapshots of the live volume, so that only changed data will be read and backed up in incremental backups. Time is saved in performing the backup operation first by pre-warming the backup's source volume in parallel with the utility analyzing the live volume, and second by skipping read operations for extents unchanged since a preceding backup. The resulting incremental backup operation is sped up as compared to prior art approaches.

  • Patent number: 10878572
Abstract: In part, the disclosure relates to method for identifying regions of interest in a blood vessel. The method includes the steps of: providing OCT image data of the blood vessel; applying a plurality of different edge detection filters to the OCT image data to generate a filter response for each edge detection filter; identifying in each edge detection filter response any response maxima; combining the response maxima for each edge detection filter response while maintaining the spatial relationship of the response maxima, to thereby create edge filtered OCT data; and analyzing the edge filtered OCT data to identify a region of interest, the region of interest defined as a local cluster of response maxima. In one embodiment, one or more indicia are positioned in one or more panels to emphasize a reference vessel profile as part of a user interface.

  • Patent number: 10877757
Abstract: A just-in-time (JIT) compiler binds constants to specific memory locations at runtime. The JIT compiler parses program code derived from a multithreaded application and identifies an instruction that references a uniform constant. The JIT compiler then determines a chain of pointers that originates within a root table specified in the multithreaded application and terminates at the uniform constant. The JIT compiler generates additional instructions for traversing the chain of pointers and inserts these instructions into the program code. A parallel processor executes this compiled code and, in doing so, causes a thread to traverse the chain of pointers and bind the uniform constant to a uniform register at runtime. Each thread in a group of threads executing on the parallel processor may then access the uniform constant.

  • Patent number: 10878024
Abstract: Dynamic thumbnails are described. Dynamic thumbnails provide a convenient and automated approach for providing thumbnails that are contextually relevant to a user. In at least some implementations, an input image is analyzed to generate tags describing objects or points of interest within the image, and to generate rectangles that describe the locations within the image that correspond to the generated tags. Various combinations of generated tags are analyzed to determine the smallest bounding rectangle that contains every rectangle associated with the tags in the respective combination, and a thumbnail is created. A user input is received and compared to the tags associated with the generated thumbnails, and a thumbnail that is most relevant to the user input is selected and output to the user.
