  • Publication number: 20190013901
Abstract: Technology for a transmitter operable to perform data transmissions using low density parity check (LDPC) codes is disclosed. The transmitter can determine soft buffer information (Nsoft) for a receiver. The transmitter can determine a soft buffer partition per HARQ process (NIR) for the UE. The transmitter can obtain, for a transport block, a number of code block segments (C). The transmitter can select a shift size value (z). The transmitter can determine an amount of soft buffer available for the code block segments (Ncb) based on NIR, C, and z. The transmitter can encode the code block segments based on an LDPC coding scheme to obtain encoded parity bits. The transmitter can select a subset of the encoded parity bits based on the determined amount of soft buffer associated with the code block segments.

  • Publication number: 20180368122
Abstract: A resource assignment can be received. A first set of time-frequency resources in a subframe can be determined from the resource assignment. A second set of time-frequency resources in the subframe can be determined. The second set of time-frequency resources can be used for a second latency data transmission. The second set of time-frequency resources can overlap with at least a portion of the first set of time-frequency resources. A first latency data transmission in the subframe can be decoded based on the determined first and second set of time-frequency resources. The first latency transmission can have a longer latency than the second latency transmission.

  • Patent number: 10154477
Abstract: User equipment determines a transport block size column indicator representative of a number of resource blocks based on a number of allocated resource blocks, an adjustment factor, and a limiting factor. The transport block size column indicator is determined by applying the adjustment factor to the number of allocated resource blocks and comparing a result of applying the adjustment factor to the number of allocated resource blocks to the limiting factor. The transport block size column indicator is selected as either the result or the limiting factor as the based on the comparison.

  • Patent number: 10142072
Abstract: A UE can receive Zero Power Channel State Information Reference Signal (ZP-CSI-RS) configuration information for an aperiodic ZP-CSI-RS of a serving cell. The UE can receive Downlink Control Information (DCI) on a physical control channel in a subframe of the serving cell. The DCI can indicate whether a Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) of the UE in the subframe of the serving cell is rate-matched around resource elements indicated by the ZP-CSI-RS configuration information. The UE can decode the PDSCH in the subframe of the serving cell based on rate-matching around the resource elements indicated by the ZP-CSI-RS configuration when the DCI indicates the PDSCH of the UE is rate-matched around the resource elements indicated by the ZP-CSI-RS configuration.

  • Patent number: 10135658
Abstract: A method and apparatus provide reception of control signaling in a wireless communication network. A preamble transmission can be detected from a second device in a first set of at least one Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbol starting with a first OFDM symbol in a subframe received on a secondary serving cell operating on an unlicensed carrier, the first OFDM symbol having a first Cyclic Prefix (CP). A second OFDM symbol in the subframe can be determined such that the second OFDM symbol immediately follows the first set of OFDM symbols. Downlink Control Information (DCI) containing a Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) resource assignment can be decoded in a second set of OFDM symbols beginning with the second OFDM symbol, the second set of OFDM symbols having a second CP. The duration of the first CP is larger than the duration of the second CP.

  • Patent number: 10051617
Abstract: A method and apparatus schedule user equipment uplink transmissions on an unlicensed carrier. A configuration indicating a window length can be received from a higher layer, where the higher layer can be higher than a physical layer. A grant can be received in a subframe, where the grant can be for transmitting a physical uplink shared channel on a serving cell operating on an unlicensed carrier.
