  • Patent number: 4396033
Abstract: A flow volume control device for a power assisted steering device having a main control valve device, whose main valve spool is movable to establish the communication of an inlet passage with a bypass passage when the flow rate of pressurized fluid supplied from an engine-driven pump to the steering device through the inlet passage and first and second throttle passages disposed in parallel relation exceeds a predetermined value. For safe driving at a high speed, an auxiliary control valve device is further provided, whose auxiliary valve spool is moved to close the second throttle passage when high-speed driving causes pressurized fluid from the pump to increase in volume, to thereby bring about a predetermined pressure drop across said inlet passage.

  • Patent number: 4361166
Abstract: A hydraulic fluid discharged from a pump is delivered to a power steering device from a supply passage through a restricted passage and a throttled passage so that as the flow through the supply passage increases in response to an increase in the number of revolutions of the pump, the flow path resistance presented by the restricted passage increases the pressure prevailing in the supply passage to cause a control spool to control the flow area of the throttled passage, thus decreasing the flow delivered to the power steering device. In this manner, a constant and invariable flow decrease characteristic can be maintained despite a loading pressure upon the power steering device, thus enhancing the stability under high speed running conditions. A mechanism to provide a variable control of the flow delivered to the power steering device is provided in a union which is fixedly mounted in one end of a bore in a pump housing.

  • Patent number: 4210394
Abstract: An electrical circuit for compensating for variations in the shutter time of the shutter mechanism in a camera which are caused by temperature variations comprises a temperature detecting circuit which generates an output voltage corresponding to the ambient temperature variation, and a control circuit which generates a compensating voltage based upon the temperature measured by the temperature detecting circuit and the known shutter time temperature characteristic of the shutter mechanism in the camera. The compensating voltage is combined with a shutter time voltage corresponding to a desired shutter time, in such a manner that the resulting voltage, which is used to control the shutter, substantially eliminates shutter time variations caused by temperature variations, thereby rendering shutter time independent of temperature.

  • Patent number: 4192598
Abstract: A mirror driving device for use in a single lens reflex camera comprises a driving lever pivotally mounted to the body of the camera, a mirror pin movable integrally with the mirror, and biasing means provided on the driving lever. The mirror pin is surrounded by a bent portion provided at one end of the driving lever and two springs of the biasing means. One of the two springs has relatively strong biasing force and engages the bent portion, while the other spring has relatively weak biasing force and always biases the mirror pin in such a direction that the mirror may descend. Upon forwarding motion of the driving lever the mirror pin is moved by the end of said lever, thereby raising the mirror. Upon returning motion of said lever the mirror pin is moved by the two springs, thereby lowering the mirror. When the lever is in its original position the mirror is pressed in a viewing-focusing position solely with the biasing force of the other spring.
