  • Publication number: 20050213090
Abstract: A biomolecule analyzer of the present invention analyzes dynamic behaviors of biomolecules, and comprises image obtaining means for obtaining an image corresponding to at least one observation area of a biological sample containing biomolecules held in a measurable state, designation means for designating an arbitrary point on the image obtained by the image obtaining means, arrangement means for arranging a measuring point in a point position on the sample corresponding to the point designated by the designation means so that the measuring point may continuously coincide with the point position, measurement means for measuring a signal derived from dynamic information of an object to be measured from the measuring point arranged by the arrangement means, and analysis means for analyzing measuring results of the measurement means.

  • Patent number: 4828388
Abstract: A concentration of antigen substances contained in a sample is measured by detecting light scattered by latex particles coated with antibody substances which are specifically reactive with the antigen substances to be measured. The scattered light is received by a photodetector and an output signal of the photodetector is supplied to a fast Fourier transform unit to derive a power spectrum density of the scattered light. Then a white level of the power spectrum density is derived, and the concentration of the antigen substances in the sample is detected from the white level with the aid of a calibration curve representing a relationship between the concentration and the white level.

  • Patent number: 4826319
Abstract: A coherent laser light flux is projected into a cell made of transparent quartz and light scattered from particles suspended in an antigen-antibody reaction liquid contained in the cell is detected by a photomultiplier by means of a collimator. An output electrical signal from the photomultiplier is sampled at different time instances and samplings are supplied to a fast Fourier transformer to derive a plurality of power spectrum desnities of fluctuation in intensity of the scattered light. A plurality of power spectrum densities are averaged to generate a mean power spectrum density. An amount of antigen contained in the reaction liquid is measured in accordance with the mean power spectrum density.

  • Patent number: 4494549
Abstract: A device for diagnosing the interior of a body cavity is described which includes an optical endoscope, and a supersonic wave scanner probe which may be physically and operatively attached thereto. The supersonic wave scanner may be used with the optical endoscope, or may be detached and replaced by a hemispherical lid whereupon the endoscope may be inserted into the body cavity for optical observations only.

  • Patent number: 4467361
Abstract: An apparatus for picking-up an image of an object including a solid state image sensor having a number of image sensing elements and an objective lens for projecting the image of the object onto the image sensor is disclosed. In order to remove a curvature of field of the objective lens, the image sensor is curved into a spherical shape having a radius of curvature equal to that of the curvature of field. The solid state image sensor may be curved in any desired shape to correct various aberrations of the objective lens.
