  • Publication number: 20040152438
Abstract: A control unit (51) measures a phase error (&lgr;) between a reference timing of a mobile station and a reception timing from a base station based on reception data (45t) from a reception unit (45) and a count (36t) from a reference timing counter unit (36), determines a frequency deviation correction value calculation period (35r) corresponding to the measured phase error (&lgr;), and outputs it to a frequency deviation correction value calculation unit (35). The frequency deviation correction value calculation unit (35) does not calculate a deviation at every reception time when intermittent reception is repeated, but calculates a deviation at intervals following the frequency deviation correction value calculation period (35r) given from the control unit (51).

  • Publication number: 20030076801
Abstract: This invention is constituted to include units which executes a step 1 of establishing slot timing synchronization, a step 2 of establishing frame timing synchronization and specifying a scrambling code group, and a step 3 of specifying a scrambling code. The unit which executes the step 1 comprises a p-SCH detection section (2) which detects p-SCH having a specified number of paths, a maximum correlation detected path acquisition section (12) and a multi-path deletion section (13) which extract “n” paths having the higher correlation values from the detected paths (the number of fingers≦n<specified number of paths), and a step 2 allocation section (14) which allocates detection timings of s-SCH (Secondary-synchronization channel) corresponding to the n paths to the unit of executing the step 2.

  • Patent number: 6442146
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a TDMA communication system which is adapted to different communication environments or prepares different communication environments and allows each mobile station to be set for working in any one of the different communication environments. The communication system commonly uses a TDMA format that has a fixed frame-length and a constant number of bits for each of the slots composing the frame. The communication environments have prepared respective sets of communication conditions, each set including a transmission power, a modulating method, the number of multiplexed signals, error-correction, an antenna gain, a frequency hopping value and a diversity value. At each mobile station and each base station, one of plural sets of communication conditions for respective environments is selected to establish communication with each other under the selected environment.

  • Patent number: 6282422
Abstract: A radio communication apparatus capable of solving a problem involved in a conventional apparatus in that in addition to a first receiver, a second receiver must be provided for establishing synchronization with a contiguous base station, which causes an increase in a circuit scale and consumed power of a mobile station. The present radio communication apparatus switches, when carrying out handoff from the current base station to a contiguous base station, a receiving frequency of a receiver from the frequency of the current base station to that of the contiguous base station, and a counter to be corrected by a synchronization manager from a first counter to a second counter that is used to establish synchronization with the contiguous base station.

  • Patent number: 5803517
Abstract: A vehicular bumper beam is comprised of a hollow member of high tension steel, which has a front corner portion with an inclined surface. With this arrangement, when a collision energy is applied obliquely to the corner portion of the bumper beam, the collision energy is received by the inclined surface. As a result, a small collision energy arising from a collision at a low speed can readily be absorbed while a large collision energy arising from a collision at a high speed can be transmitted to a vehicle body quickly and efficiently.

  • Patent number: 5803514
Abstract: A structure for mounting a bumper beam 2 extending transversely of a vehicle covered with a bumper face 6 and mounted to a chassis 3 through a support 4, in which the bumper beam 2 is formed into a hollow body made of high-tension steel, the front end of the support 4 extends forward beyond the rear portion of the bumper beam 2. Thus, when a large collision energy works on the lightweight bumper beam formed into a hollow body made of high-tension steel, the collision energy is quickly transferred to the vehicle chassis through the front end of the beam.
