  • Patent number: 6373666
Abstract: In a magnetic disk drive which comprises a magnetic head slider, a magnetic head slider support mechanism for supporting the magnetic head slider and moving it to a predetermined position, and a load/unload mechanism for detaching the magnetic head slider from the surface of a magnetic disk or moving it thereto, when the magnetic head slider is detached from the magnetic disk surface for unloading, the magnetic head slider support mechanism is restrained against displacement in at least one direction perpendicular to the magnetic disk surface by a restraining part which is provided at a position, on other than the load/unload mechanism, between the magnetic head slider and a pivot of the magnetic head slider support mechanism. Thus, it is possible to enhance impact resistance of the magnetic disk drive during non-rotation.

  • Patent number: 6051082
Abstract: A rolling bearing includes a rolling element made of a steel containing 0.9 to 1.1 wt. % C, 0.1 to 0.5 wt. % Si, 0.2 to 0.8 wt. % Mn, 1.0 to 1.8 wt. % Cr, with the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities. In the rolling bearing at least the surface of the rolling element includes carbides having an area fraction of 5% to 15%; of these carbides, carbides having an averaged particle diameter of 0.5 .mu.m or more share 50% or more of the area fraction of all the carbides; and of the carbides, carbides having an averaged particle diameter of 1 .mu.m or more share 2% or less of the area fraction of all the carbides; and wherein the rolling element has at least a Vickers surface hardness HV of 750 to 900.

  • Patent number: 5042844
Abstract: A hose fixture device has a cylindrical wall with projections thereon, which projections engage a corresponding mounting projection of a hose. Normally that mounting projection is a helix, so that there is a screw engagement. The projections are arranged circumferentially around the cylindrical wall with gaps therebetween. There are also gripper members, again spaced circumferentially with gaps therebetween, which grip an end of the hose. The gaps make is easy to see such engagement. The gripper members are aligned with the gaps between those projections. This provides a secure fixing of the hose to the hose fixture device. Furthermore, the device may be moulded easily. Such a hose fixture device may be used to attache a hose joint component (e.g. a suction tool) to a hose of an electric vacuum cleaner.

  • Patent number: 5006780
Abstract: A charging circuit comprises a main circuit for charging a battery and a power unit connected to an electric power source. The main circuit and the power unit are connected through a connector to each other. The power source transformed by a transformer located at the power unit is supplied to the connector through a contact of a direct current relay. After alternating current is introduced to the main circuit from the power unit, the alternating current is rectified by a diode bridge. The direct current from the diode bridge is supplied to the battery through a control circuit. When the battery is charged sufficiently, the control circuit outputs an instruction signal to a diode portion of a photo-triac connected between an output terminal of the diode bridge and the control relay.
