  • Patent number: 8550636
Abstract: To aim to provide a simple high-pressure discharge lamp apparatus. The lamp apparatus suppresses local temperature increase in an arc tube during lighting, and uniforms temperature in the arc tube. A lamp is built into a reflector so as to form a lamp unit such that a central axis of the lamp coincides with an optical axis of the reflector. A pair of rotating bodies with a fixed interval therebetween each has a circular outer circumferential surface, and the optical axis of the reflector coincides with a central axis of the circumferential surface of the rotating bodies. A pair of electrodes is electrically connected to the circumferential surface of each rotating body, and the rotating bodies are placed on two rotating rollers arranged in parallel. A drive motor drives the lamp unit in a fixed direction on the rotating rollers. Feeding members feed the rotating bodies with power.

  • Patent number: 5086114
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of producing imide bond-containing resins. The method comprises reacting a halogenated phthalic anhydride, a specific copolymer and a diisocyanate compound in an inert solvent in the presence of a quaternary phosphonium compound as a catalyst to give an imide bond-containing resin in high yield. The imide bond-containing resins provide flammable substances with good fire or flame resistance and at the same time themselves have good heat resistance and weather resistance. Therefore, the resins can be used as flame retardants in a broad range of application.

  • Patent number: 5076828
Abstract: This invention relates to novel oxyalkylated quaternary ammonium compounds, processes for their production and plant growth regulating compositions containing the same compounds. Each of these oxyalkylated quaternary ammonium compounds consists of an oxyalkylated quaternary ammonium cation and an anion selected from among carboxylic acid residues, aminosulfonic acid residues and phosphoric acid ester residues. These oxyalkylated quaternary ammonium compounds are least phytotoxic, produce marked growth regulating effects on a broad species of plants and are not easily decomposed by microorganisms.
